Price here in our country is a lot expensive then in us,Since us market is huge and weak dollar it is cheaper.In Slovenia you can buy it for 4140euro minus 25% =approx around 3000e.

as for M3 C63 got friends who had them installed here and no problem over warranty with both cars.I think it is just dealers if they wanna or they dont wanna go with it.Here you got no problems for anything what so ever any car from Lambo ferrari to etc.
 
will be ordering mine for the R on the 30th
will post my results with the MWR filter, block offs, akra pipe
 
we need current/future owners of the akra to put up some videos!! funny how we're basically doing the marketing for them :rolleyes:

I am trying to work out whether we should include a fueling solution as well or just the pipe... suddenly a lot of retailers are offering the Akra and the whole 1199 community has caught fire with the new product...
It may be that we are not able to offer it at a much/any better price than elsewhere...I don't say this in a way that is defeatist but I am being honest here... :)

If you need the pipe asap then Revzilla or Motomummy are offering it right now at what I believe are excellent prices....:cool:

i agree a fueling solution should be included. one stop shop!
 
Reason for Concern

FYI- If you are on the fence about ordering this from either MM or Revzilla I'd do it ASAP due to some very unhappy people up high in the food chain! Not getting into any more detail than this so just pull the trigger on it soon!

I should have info for STW tonight once I get word back. I have "other" sources for this pipe and of course a direct bat-line to Dave Lillard (Rexxer) for any ECU hooks if interested. David is obviously an Akra dealer as well and at the moment knows more than ANYONE in the bike industry about what is going on with this entire deal between Akra and Ducati, since it directly involves HIM! :D

Get em while they are hot folks.

hm...sounds more like an availability issue than a price issue.....

What I'm reading between the lines here is that Akra may not be happy about the vendors discounting the products too sharply.
Premium companies like to keep their prices close to MSRP, even through vendors.

Just to keep you guys informed... I am still working on a group buy...But the vendor may change...same awesome pipe though..of course :)
 
Just pulled the trigger on the Akra's. Got it from Thomas at Motovation. Price matched.

Rexxer have a upmap specific to the R, i should have mine on the bike this week so will probably pop it on the dyno.

And agree with comments regarding discounting the item as Akra will want to control the price of their product much like Dainese/termi etc

I am hoping (confidently) I will have an answer tomorrow on a potential group buy...To be honest I am unsure whether I will be able to put together a buy that gives an awesome price... If I cannot have something that delivers on price I will tell you and let you guys fight over where you buy yours from..But I am trying to do something that might save some $$$$$....

My dealer said if I don't change the map and keep running the full Termi upmap, I would still have my warranty.

Not worth the risk for me as I doubt the gains from Rexxer over the R upmap is significant enough to throw my full warranty out the window...
 
I just wish I could get the titanium pipework to go with the Termis on my S - I think the silencers look great, i hate the ...... brown looking intermediate pipe that sticks through the fairing - it needs to look BLUE!!
Someone needs to make this, I am sure it would sell really well!
