I owned it, built it, showed it and sold it to my friend David. He hasn't done anything to it since.
Ha - what's left to do?

LOL true...that's why I sold it. Not much left to do. I enjoy the journey more so than the result.

Mannn..Isn't that the truth? That's how I feel about my evo at the moment which is why it sits collecting dust. Poor car. Only thing missing is a built motor but "hopefully" I'll never have to go through that.
That was the thing I regretted most. Not that it was bad or anything, but once you build the motor, it's non-reversible. And the money is literally down the drain, and you will never recoup it when you sell it. And that day will come.
But if I didn't build my motor, I'll always have wondered. So I'm glad I got it out of my system with big builds.
And now I'm going to be sending my Lambo to Underground Racing..... =S
Haha. 1500whp here you come!!
There are a lottttttttttt of guys on the evoxforums who end up selling the car shortly after they build the motor. It becomes such a high maintenance bitch after that. It's always something. Most of us try and push the limits of a stock block and see how much it will take. It's always 2 culprits....Too much torque or bad tuning. Never fails. Too much horsepower is never the issue but so many try n boost a stock block more than 30psi and 400+ torque and wonder why their block spit out a rod. There goes $15k to build your motor and another $3-5k to beef up your tranny.
Mine is on the conservative side of boost (25psi) and makes about 390tq but it doesn't kick in til after 4k rpms. You gotta know how to drive a boosted vehicle in order to make it last. Most learn the hard way and wonder why they can't romp on it while in high gear and lower rpms with such high loads. BOOOOOOM!! lol
You're absolutely right. Torque kills motors. HP is jus a derivative of torque and a number for bragging rights. Those culprits you listed are the same for any FI vehicles. I built the motor on my 350z 3 times...first time stuck with 3.5L. Second time at 3.7L. Third time at 4.24L.
3 times? DAMN!! Better not be doin so with the Lambo lol. I say keep it stock n track it. Going fast straight is overrated.
It only blew up once though. I just wanted to go bigger.
Tracked the Lambo a couple times already. I'm thinking of buying an S2000 to build for the track. The Lambo....is a hwy car. Can't launch, so all about rolling starts.
Sure. 40% handling fee.

I'm thinking of one of these .
You buying a S2000 lol look at my race cars and tell me what you see.
