This is getting addictive.....and winter just got started.

Hey Nitro,
Our bikes are almost the same, I got the Red CNC frame plugs and DP fender eliminator and a lumimoto seat cover….

other than the fact yours is an R and mine is an S

and I suppose I do not have any of the other stuff you have…wow they are almost the same….like bike brothers…and they are both red.

I had the CNC reservoir covers in titanium but they did not look good. (They are still for sale very cheap):D LOL

Great looking bike and love those wheels.

Beautiful bike, Nitrouz. Many thanks for taking the time to document measurements from both systems.

Nice! I got the CNC reservoir covers in Gold. My whole bike is pretty much red and gold.

No. cranked up my surround sound but still couldn't cover it. I pushed the bike to the balcony as well. Luckily it's the penthouse but for a few seconds there I could feel the ground shaking. But it is noticeably louder. Only slightly in volume. Major difference in the pitch. It's much more lower and solid now. Comparable to the AMG engines in Mercedes vehicles.

That did it. I just ordered the damn thing. I'll let everyone know how long it took to get it ;)

All jokes aside. Gold would go well with the wheels. I had to get rid of my titanium ones as they reflected in the sun while riding and were distracting"¦.biggest waste of money for me.. I can,t give them away"¦.next time have to be more careful with purchasing bling.

Wow Trauma"¦.talk about peer group pressure"¦I mean forum bling group pressure.

I bet you sniff out some smoking hot deal too. make sure you let us all know.

Well done I love to see a good impulse buy especially when its someone else's money. :D

lol my 1199R was an impulse buy. I went in with a friend to check out his 1098 that was in for service, saw the R in the showroom, and left with it.

I pushed this pipe early last year, and defended it and it's price against AR and others. I knew I would buy it someday! plus, it's been a good year, and the NASDAQ is at high too, so here I go.

that is pretty much how I ended up with my S model.

Great looking R Nitrouz! Thanks for sharing the install with us. Other than the Termi being bigger araound and the flat spot were there any other differences in the bends of the system?

Thanks!

Those were the most noticeable differences. The welds on the Akras are much smoother and cleaner. Other than that, the bends are pretty much identical. But I suspect the bends inside the mufflers/silencers may have some differences...

for an average joe like me who will not notice the slight increase in the power difference. I want to know, how does the sound differ? I may not notice the power increase but I love the sound our bike's emit.

I haven't taken it for a spin, but there are dyno's posted in the other thread. If it really smooths out the torque/hp dip around the mid range, you'd feel it.

But sound wise, it's not much louder. But the pitch is different. It's much deeper and throatier. Each "pounding" of the pistons is more significant, if that makes sense.

I stopped by that day. Saw the lambo and I think you were in the back office with Stewart? Nice impulse buy!

Regarding your question of the pipe design. It is a compromise due to packaging design and would promote velocity changes and introduce more turbulence. The reduced pipe volume will likely promote more torque lower in the rev range. Likely to reduce max air flow on the top but depends on header design and how well it tunes the exhaust pulses.

It drives me crazy when I look at all the bends the Pani's exhaust system uses and with such tight bends.

That was probably me. But the day I bought the Pani, I actually rode in on my R1. I did drive the Lambo over a couple of times afterwards though.

Thanks for the explanation regarding airflow! Makes sense.
