No worries!

I wasn't implying anything about anyone in particular either.

Pleased to see you are going down the route of trying and testing.

Sometimes we all become blinkered as to what manufacturers state.

Akra did this with ApV4, Yoshi did it in the past.

Hope all goes well for your testing and look forward to the results.

Cheers!...:)

All good Beanflicker only discussions:D

I am off to catch up with the race bike this weekend and have some indepth discussions with the Jockey.
That bike is running the full superstock system and last time I heard was getting 192.

Report next week.

I'm sorry maybe I'm having a brain fart here, but what the crap is a PCV again???

In the past I have thought a PCV was not so needed. When I had the Busa and now the Repsol, I did it only because of the full exhaust, never really noticed a difference. HOWEVER now I look forward to a PCV offering for the Pani. Hope they get it right.

Funny that as Termi has now released an updated system to a Bsb uk team! Says it all really.
No test on any bike on the same day stock vs termi showed anything other than the stock headers work better than the termi headers, even once fuelled correctly for both.
The graphs don't lie!

That's pretty bad.

I will get the graphs to show new termi headers vs old.
The new set have simply been lengthened slightly.

New headers from Brands Hatch BSB today:

Interesting. 90% of the time when the cat is in the muffler the only gains you get by replacing the headers is weight savings; unless you're in the realm of eking every little bolt out by replacing bolts with titanium counterparts.

Do you know what sort of guard is on that shock?

The new headers don't address the issues we have found in dyno testing. Will check which cover that is.

Yeah, I'm not too worried. As soon as the Akra comes out, no offense I'm just brand loyal lol, I'm selling the Termi slip-ons.

No offence taken but i should wait and see!!!;)

Absolutely..Wait and see.!

I'm brand loyal too........ but only to a point.

If some other manufacturer makes a better product then that's the one for me.

Akra made a system for the V4 Ap and it underperformed against the stock headers.!

However...

If Akra makes the best then sweet.

If AR makes the best then sweet.

But I won't personally buy a system on brand loyalty alone.

I want the best in exchange for my hard earned.

You're right, it's just on the bikes I've owned they've been top performers. Sound and build quality is outstanding; I've actually never seen an AR product.

The fact that Austin Racing has involved us in the process (and given us access to the development) of their exhaust says a HELL of a lot about their products and their interest in ensuring customer satisfaction. This thread started with someone having to call Akro, but Rich has been here since day one.

I've heard/seen the AR exhaust on an RSV4 and it was the best sounding engine I've ever heard. Granted, the motor stock sounds brilliant, but the fact that Austin Racing improved on it is still amazing.

And did no one notice that AR will be building an Inconel system? Inco true unobtanium and there's a reason why F-1 teams use it for their exhausts. And if it's good enough for the McLaren MP4-12C I think it's good enough for me. .

Should solve the underseat heat problem, too.
