Hey all!

Well, the time has come to give up my 2011 Daytona 675R for a shiny 1199 S I think. First step is joining the forum...now I just need to find a bike! My friend has also decided to get an 899 so I'm not alone. =) Looks like I'll be posting in the WTB section for a little bit! Anyway, can't wait to finally own the bike of my dreams!

I don't think this ad will be up for long though. I'll probably wait a week or so, and if nothing bites I'll just trade it in. I'm ready to have an 1199!

:D :D
Welcome to the forum!
I'll ride the 1199 since 2 years and still I am not ready to "use" it's full potential....

Welcome. Whatever you do, do not buy an 899. Waste of money, especially if you've been tracking a 675R. I had one of the first 2006 675s. Awesome bike. Loved the triple. This 1199 is on a different level obvi haha. If I woulda got the 899 thinking "I don't really need 195hp, and I don't wanna kill myself" crap, I would've missed out on this amazing bike. Single-sided swingarm, color display, adjustable swingarm link, 200 rear tire, etc, etc, etc.... Good luck!

Thanks! My friend is buying an 899 next weekend and trading in his 09 r6 to help finance it. But yea, I had a CBR1000RR before the Daytona, and I really miss that literbike power. This will be even more of a ride than that though from what I understand! But yea, sportbikes are definitely not for functionality. Even a 600 is overkill for just something to save gas and commute on. I mean, cmon! These bikes are for fun!!! =) Never rode a V-Twin though, so I'm curious to see how these pan out!

That's what I'm hoping! Should have one by Saturday...just in time to ride it all weekend!
