Just thought I would share this real quick. I finally got to the point of needing a new rear tire. I needed a way to get the rear nut off, but didn't want to spend money on an impact gun. So, I bought an 18" breaker bar. I marked a line on the nut and noted what it lined up to. I then had my 10 year old sit on the bike and push on the brake while I pushed on the bar. As I figured it would, the tire spun even with the brake. I wedged a small piece of 1x between a wheel spoke and the swingarm and that worked! Man, that's a lot of torque!Resized_20220327_112748_4662(1)-1.jpeg

When retorquing the wheel nut to my marks, the 230 Nm didn't feel that bad. And, once I broke the torque, I didn't need a wedge anymore. Kind of made it easier. To the point I broke it loose again and retorqued, just to make sure.

I'd be wary about placing that load on the wheel spoke like that. An impact gun makes the whole ordeal extremely quick. Well worth the investment for a portable Dewalt one.

I usually cruise the block dragging the rear brake to heat it a bit. It adds some bite.

I'm not a fan of using impact tools on vehicles. It is hell on radiators with plastic end caps, knock sensors, ect

I will say this, after having to fiddle around with the chains on other bikes and making sure it's back on straight, this was really nice. Literally it was take the nut off, take the wheel off. Put it back on.

true that. I take the caliper off but it is still tight between the exhaust tip and the disc on the V2 with a 190 tire.

best was the yt influanker with two Impact drivers. one for loosen and one for fastening.o_O
