Holy F@#$ Rear Wheel Nut

Speaking of lube. I've used this copper based anti-seize, as non-ferrous metals and ferrous metals won't bond or dry and have radically different heat-expansion rates making this ...., the .....

Another trick I didn't see mentioned now that it doesn't mater... I've put ice inside the axle, and VERY gently with a VERY small torch heated the nut, DING, they come apart fast.
NOTE: Doing this getting your steel up to 600F, you've de-tempered whatever you got hot and now you can throw it away or use it as wall art. Only get it warm to touch and it'll be good after.

Jerk, bully, ......., dick head, yes. Treasure , LOL that’s stretch. If I can help out, I try to do so otherwise I’m just here every once in a while to piss on the parade. It’s therapeutic.

Not a known Ducati issue in the strictest sense of the term "known." I've owned three, and have taken off and reinstalled the wheels on all three numerous times. If you're in Georgia maybe your bike has a Florida history possibly leading to more corrosion.

Yes.

My bikes are in Florida and like I’ve said previously, have never had this issue. Whoever tightened that nut must have been drunk. That is ridiculous.

With the threads being dry I'd think there was some type of corrosion element to it but I don't doubt that someone went full ham with an impact to tighten it, totally clueless to how tight they had it.

Just out of curiosity. If the no nuts a movin is a known Ducati issue. Why not address it or is that not possible. Is Ti hardware the answer or just proper cleaning, lube and assembly and torque the solution.

It's not a "Known Ducati issue" it's a known ....... with a rattle gun issue..... A bit like the underpaid low IQ .......s that change your car tyres and just spin em up till they're tight. The nut is supposed to have some anti seize on it and be torqued correctly, with the safety clip in place it will be fine and you will have a fighting chance at getting it off again.

DO NOT be tempted to under torque it, if the nut comes loose the safety pin will likely stop it coming all the way off and you losing a wheel, or your life, but what can happen is the soft Alloy of the wheel chafes on the 4x drive pins and makes them oblong fiucking the wheel completely

Plan to torque probably stop just short of 230nm line Up holes for the pin call it a day.
Once season starts that wheel will be off a few times a weekend For fresh rubber. Thanks for all the advice.
