Before I install a new regulator/rectifier on my 1993 Ducati 900 Superlight, I ran a few quick tests on my alternator. The reading for the AC output across the 2 yellow wires was 30VAC @3,000 rpms & 40VAC @4,000 rpms. Can anyone tell me if this output is consistent with factory specs?

Thank you so much.

That sounds not wrong.
measuring the voltage is not very exact, you need a good trueRMS and keep the frequency at 50/60 Hz.
It also depends on with/without Load (connector/rectifier/battery).
you can also put 10A on the alternator and measure the Voltage drop to calculate the resistance.
that says nothing about the permeability...

or define it as -should work-
I would also unpin and check all connectors and Mass-points.
Later i can look if Haynes know some Values:

No, there's only the Coil resistance: 2-4 ohm
Regulator: >100Kohm between yellow and red. Everything else should have >2Mohm
