Guys -

Little good news but major bad news:

Good news - the fundraiser T-Shirts shipped this week, so watch your porch for a box from Ducati Omaha if you ordered one. We also went ahead and got more made up so we can keep selling the sponsor packages during the season. THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the effort so far! Here's the link to the T-shirts if you didn't see it before: Ducati Omaha Racing

REALLY Bad News - we're not going to make it to Daytona. :(:(:( Some last minute difficulties cropped up with the racing electronics system on the bike that required more time and parts to arrive from Italy, and it simply wasn't possible to get it all sorted in time. The team is VERY bummed out, Jake was all ready to ride and everything else had been going according to plan. Such is racing sometimes, as many of you know. So now we have some time to start preparing for Round 2 at Road America, where we plan to debut the bike. We're also eyeing up the new Triple Crown Series and might hit those rounds as well. SORRY TO ALL DUCASTISI - WE REALLY WANTED TO BE AT DAYTONA!!

The lone 1199 is WAY down the order after 1st round qualifying for Daytona Superbike, the fricken EBR's are faster. Hopefully round two will be better.

I think that's down to the rider difference, you have basically a local club racer on the 1199 with seasoned AMA pros on the EBR's. Looking at it another way, you have the very experienced Larry Pegram on the EBR only 9 tenths ahead of Johnny Rock Page.......... ;)
