Any chance of a few tweaks on 2015 models?

Not sure how this would work or even be possible with new EVO rules, but I was told today, don't be surprised if there is no R in dealerships next year and this is the final run. So??????

I believe this is technically possible for WSBK. There were still some 1198's running with a privateer squad last year I thought. I believe once you hit the homologation requirements, the bike is legal for a number of years.

Not saying I've heard any rumors to that affect or anything, just clarifying I think they could still race and no longer produce that model.

I can understand why you would think that. Other then that comment I have had fantastic service and could say nothing negative about my dealer. Maybe I misunderstood what he said. That's why I ask questions.

I do admit it sounded a little crazy...

@JarelJ....plus one on the 2005 749R....I still feel that is the best bike Ducati made as far as all around performance....it was the perfect balance in my opinion....not too much and not too little....i still am looking for an engine still to swap out of my base 749

Indeed! Only in 3rd do I have the confidence to go WFO, and even then, only when on a downhill stretch.

I have also heard that one must be careful with Ti rods. It does not last forever and it is vulnerable to cracks etc. Ultimate Performance recommended that I use forged Carillo rods (quarter of the price, not much heavier and bullet proof).
