Any major issues with the 1199?

As has been covered previously:

Gear shifter bolt needs thread locked.
There have been a couple of recalls, but nothing serious.
I'm on my second dash due to moisture, but doubt I'll be changing it again as the new one isn't much better.
~100/110mile to reserve range (I can't be riding it hard enough), and usually no more than 20miles after that. I'd love a larger tank.
The stock pegs are useless in the wet. Change them.
I've had no issues with the stock tyres(tires), but RoadPilot4's seem to be a popular choice in wetter countries (mind and lower your TC), and you don't have to replace them every couple of 1000k.
Bled the clutch about twice in 8000miles.

Would I change it? Nope!!

I have a '14 "R" and not a single issue. The bike has 4500 miles in just 6 months of ownership. I clean and inspect the bike after each ride. As with any bike I have owned you will get loose hardware once in a while. I enjoy working on it as everything is so easy to access.

I am looking to purchase a new 1199S and want to know if there are any major issues to look out for on this model or if there are any recall bulletins?

I searched around and did not find anything concise.

I know some people have reported issues with dash and had to get it replaced.

Its a really bad bike you should not buy it.

So I purchased a 2012 1199 with 6k miles on it. Pretty happy. Did oil change and coolant flush. And even went ahead and did the valve cover gasket and spark plugs. Given I’m a mechanic for a living it wasn’t too difficult. Just definitely has a lot of little bolts and hidden zip ties. I also come from a dirt bike background so doing wheelies has never been an issue. But due to adding just a hair too much oil. The oil ended up in the air box and drain down and I came out to a puddle under my bike. Terrified. I stopped it down to make sure I had all my vacuum lines and coolant hoses in the right places. Turns out I didn’t check the oil when the bike was upright but over on the kick stand. Lesson leaned right there. Also the power doesn’t kick on until 5k from what I noticed. Definitely has a lot of power and the front wheel doesn’t like to stay down
