Anyone think bar end sliders help with vibration and tingly hands?

Used a flat tip screwdriver to remove the oem grips and sprayed hairspray on the bars and slid these new 717s right on, no prob. Took 10mins. Gonna let it dry overnight and try em out tomorrow in the 50 degree 7am commute to work. Plus I got some new Dianese Full Metal Gloves!!! And ordered the "Vibranator" that should be here Saturday. I'll be sure to review that thing haha.

has anyone tried filling the handlebars with these? Seems lightweight, and a good vibration dampening material, removable and mess free.

How are you fingers these days? When I first got my bike, my right pinky would tingle then hurt after about 30-40 miles of riding. I read through all the comments about the "grip of death, core muscles," etc... I have a relaxed grip and pretty good endurance when it comes to legs, abs, shoulders, and arms. It was simply the vibration that was causing my misery along with maybe sensitive ulnar nerves that radiate and extend down my lower palm and pinky finger. Only my right (throttle) hand was affected. I tried "Grip Puppies" which were soft neoprene-spongy grip covers and they seemed to help. I told everyone that had the same issue about these grip covers only to have them fall apart after a years worth of usage. Then something weird happened. I rode without those grip covers and the tingling sensation was no longer there. My best guess was that my hands (and nerves) adjusted to the vibrations. BTW, this type of tingling never happened on any other bike that I have owned. The Panigale has much less wrist pressure in relation to other sportbikes out there. So for me, it had to be the frequency of the vibration that was affecting me. Sorry for the super long reply.

I'm new on this forum I would like to make a comment, I have the same tingle with my 1299 after about 20-30km's, so I am looking to fix it.

I have a new KTM 690 Duke R (LC4) it has pleasured me for almost a year, regrettably it suffers the same high vibration causing my right hand to go numb, if I ride it hard on a high way at say 70mph for about 25km.
I installed the KTM handle bar vibration absorb kit thing, while doing this I decided to remove the throttle grip, it was quite lose on the bar, ran a piece of very thin heat shrink over the bar and the lubed it with white silecon grease, this removed the lateral play in the throttle grip, it checked it did not bind and that the can bus throttle control spring could safely pull the throttle closed.
I now ride this thing like one would your mistress, no annoying vibration, no tingle it's hard to say if the kit did the trick or if removing the float has fixed it?

I will be pulling the Pani's throttle off and will fix its lose throttle grip (also has loads of free play between the plastic throttle and the actual bar) I am sure it all helps to reduce this annoying high frequency vibration.

Off topic, is it worth machining the throttle free play spacer (as advertised on this forum for 29'USD) I would buy it but they want 45 USD to post the tiny piece of plastic and I can machine it out of billet myself for zip, but I'm uncertain if it's helpfull to a ham fisted newbie having such a direct throttle response.

Agreed. I'm running lighter bar end weights than stock and would take them off completely if not for the function they serve in the event of a crash.

The tinglinghas less to do with vibration and more to do with the fact that two main nerves in your hand get squashed under your palm while you ride. You can try squeezing the tank more with your thighs to reduce pressure on your wrists, or just ride more. Your body will either adapt or you'll get carpal tunnel. Chances are it'll adapt. Trust me on this one! ;)

With respect to your comment here, why is it that this only happens on my 1299 and my single? I have owned blades and more R1 than I can recall, would I not be using the same neves in the hand when wanking those throttles? I do not recall having vibration issues .....only difference is I was 10 years younger, and they were all in line fours.

my hands are prone to the vibes of my v twin. if you have got lightweight bar ends this does not help.if fitting aftermarket bar ends go for the heavy screw in type which half solved the problem. keeping your hand away from the bar ends helps as they take the vibes away from the grips.
think its just the way your body is at that time as sometimes I don't get the tingles and sometimes I do. but doing the usual weight transfer and the ducati shake of the hands on the go is just the way it is.

I need a new c5-c6 disk. My right two fingers go numb after 3 minutes. glad the brakes work well enough to brake with. A pinky or just wait to judge the applied pressure with the deceleration force. After a shot, I can ride for over a 100 miles no issue. Years of road (pedal bike) and triathlon racing wore me out. I was glad to determine it was not the panigale's fault.

The stock 1299 bar ends are quite heavy. I went to the black lighter ones for looks and never noticed a difference.
