Waiting to hear back @Steven31371 experience at Chuck yesterday....pro racers, snow?, more corner time than straights by a hefty magnitude....do tell!

I really like that track, lots of late apex’s and double apex’s, very short straights but tons of different kinds of cornering including some elevation changes, a banked bowl that’s a blast and an off camber kink that’s challenging, took till the end of the day to really get the line right all the way around the track, but when you do it’s a very satisfying feeling at that track, cause you just flow around it. Weather was perfect, slightly chilly in the morning but alternating sun and clouds and temps in the mid 60’s.

I went backward a bit on my fundamentals but was dialing it back in by the end of the day, great track to work on your cornering, because there’s a pretty wide margin for error except for turn 9. (Crash Corner) That one almost bit me once on my 3rd lap, the 1st one after the sighting lap where it snuck up on me lol. And there are a ton of flowing cornering to practice on.

I was in the slow group, a lot of 1st timers at the track in that group, when you start to get the line the only thing to watch out for is trying to pass people who are going off of and then back onto the line in some unexpected ways, but overall it’s a pretty easy track to pass on, I can see why it would be fun to race there. There are several corners that you can just go full send on that are a blast, and it’s a more aggressive crowd there so people don’t get their panties in a bunch for passing going into corners as much as they seemed to do at AutoClub Speedway, though in all fairness you have much more room to pass at Chuckwallah.

Overall, can’t wait to go back and will book more dates there.

Also the cheeseburgers at the snack shack hit right about mid-day lol

I'll supplement on this. Yes, pros were there for the weekend races. MotoAmerica guys. Corey Alexander won the stock 1000 shootout with a 1:45 best lap, Lugnut Anthony Norton got 2nd, Ezra Beaubier 3rd, plus another 20 expert/pro 1000 and 600 no-names were running all the races and damned near just as fast. My buddy Igor got 5th in the stock 1000 shootout on his V4R, running 1:48 for nearly the entire 10 laps for a cash payout. Saturday was essentially dry but it got very cold with nasty wind around noon. My canopy got destroyed, as did others'. Racing in it was sketchy!! Sunday was gorgeous with near perfect conditions, sunny and no wind. I'm a second year amatuer on a '19 Panigale V4 and realistically have 5th place best pace but got the hole shot on Saturday and somehow led for the entire first lap, over-riding with my hair on fire and blowing every apex, haha, before the race got red flagged. That was exciting! Sunday, I calmed down, got a PR and had my best ever pace for P6, with nearly everyone ahead of me running 1:52's or better. Lots of great riders even in the amateur classes. And now we have five CVMA racers running Panigale V4s, so that is great to see. I think those new BMWs are formidable though. Guys are pretty fast on those.

Great report, I haven't spoken to Corey yet but I know he is always at the very front. Great to hear about you out here going for it, I need to do a race weekend there after I get some more time in on that track...

I am swapping my IMA clip ons to a much easier to adjust Spider setup, I used to use Woodcraft but honestly all her bits are like relics from the early 2000s as far as design goesView attachment 48099

I got I got the 42mm offset version (similar to IM offset) and the 25mm offset to try
also figured it was time to get the the bar angle measuring tool

Hey Karl which set did you end up preferring the 42mm or the 25mm offset? I just got a dealer account with Spider and was trying to figure out a few things to order for resale.
