Apparently we're getting Akrapovic Slip Ons for the 1199!!

Yeah... It was probably a bit misleading what I wrote.
The valve stays in the pipe. But your able to remove the
servo motor and cable for the valve with the termi slips.
Therefore the valve is always open and the up map of the slip ons
deactivates the electric. connection which then won't give you an
error message in the dash.

Not strictly correct.

The electric connection is closed by the plug that Termi supply with the slips - its this that stops the error messages.

Who knows about the up-map.... but it probably has null settings for servo position.

nice! the value isn't an issue for me as i have it turn off through my tuneboy ecu!

what i would like to know is can you upgrade from a slipon to a full system (will the sell the header pipes separately) or will it be a case of selling the slipons and going out and buying the full system!

Still at for me at $4,000 + Shipping and Tax the full system is little bit pricey

How bad can the Termi's be, the 2014 Factory Moto GP HONDAs runs them, I think they can use anything they want

ok... thought the plug was only to seal the connection from dirt. learn something new every day :)

BUT, how is it possible that when fitting the AKRA evo system to the bike, this connections is simply unplugged without fitting a proper plug to it (at least thats what it says in the installation manual of the akra system). The Akra system doesn't have an upmap either. So theoretically, you should get an error message in the dash.

Yeah, funny how they went from everybody's favorite exhaust and drool worthiness at Starbucks to a total piece of .... in about 2 months. lol.

I love the internet.

The Termi's are not bad at all, some people just lust after whatever is new. If the Akra was the stock system that always came on the Panigale and Termi was just releasing their slips and full systems we'd see owners jumping to get the Termi!

The Akro's are beautifully made and their styling is lovely.
I don't like them on the 1199 because they look like they're too similar in shape to the stock cans.
I never liked the styling of the stock cans from the start:(

In contrast the Termi's look a bit boxy for my taste, but I don't dwell on it.
But they're effective and they come as a package with the relevant map at a competitive price point.
The best part, is even though you can't see them while your riding.
You can hear them good enough and they do improve the running of the bike with the map:)

im so over this already. akra may be better i got my full system cost me 2k all in brand new. guess what barely notice a difference.

I really like the look and sound of the full Termi! I run mine without the DB killers and it sounds amazing!

I do plan to fit the R with the Super Stock Manifolds and add the Carbon front heat shields. Then it will be perfect!

so who has contacts to a bike magazine (cycle world, sport rider, road racing world) to do a full conclusive dyno comparison with all existing systems (incl. my mod LOL :D) and all piggyback solutions????

to put an end to this debate and deliver a full comparison of the following:

1. absolute performance
2. price
3. looks
4. weight
5. bang for the buck
6. vanity / starbucks rating
7. what would Stoner take (for ridiculousness)

.

Termi's are fine for other models...for whatever reason I am not pumped on the look of the termis nor the sound for the 1199.
