Is BrettF real?

This is his first post! I am suspicious.

Please BrettF more info for the masses. Prove yourself man! :D

2012 1199S 2400 miles Termi slip-ons and an SPG Seattle re-map. We did a track map, mostly fueling and a street map-fueling and throttle input adjustments which adds tons more grunt on the bottom. It burps right up at 3000-3500 like a 1098R or more. It pulled 182.8mph at Portland raceway on a GPX data acquisition with GPS. Probably had a little more but turn 1 comes up quick!! street bike in street trim.

Have a look at spgseattle.com the site claims......

Over 210 Horsepower at the crankl
100 Foot Pounds of torque at the rear wheel
18 Pounds lighter than a stock 1199 Panigale
Custom suspension tuned at 5 of Americas best racetracks

Completely remapped Engine Control unit for a more aggresive torque hit. This motorcyle is for ADVANCED RIDERS ONLY.
Full Carbon Bodywork custom made in England
Ducati Corse Racing Rearsets
GP Suspension Ohlins TTX Shock
Custom Ohlins fork internals manufactured by GP Suspension in Washinton State.

The next question is what is BrettFs connection with SPG, is he just a customer or is he a vendor?

Disclaimers

Like many performance modifications, an ECU fash may create issues with your Warranty. SPG will not be held responsible for issue regading warranty claims created on behalf of the flashing process. Horsepower increases will vary by bike and by tune. We can provide you with dyno runs to determine the exact effect on your bike at an extra cost.

The bike was tuned, note the 500rpm increase in rpm. I was wondering if anybody caught that:)I didn't want to push it any more as it is my street bike as well as a few track days.

500 RPM will not hurt as Ducati have done this already and it is just a small increase.

1500rpm increase up to 12500 may however cause additional wear and in my opinion should be left until warranty has expired.

WAF where are you mate? end of business Friday what are the results?

Update

So, I have just come home from picking the bike up.

We have been unable to find either a significant increase in peak HP (only gained 3-4hp) over my bike as it was with Termi slips, or, which is more surprising, any real gain in the mid-range.

The only improvement in performance is due to tuning by Justin & Mr Tuneboy working the 40% throttle mapping.

They believe the Termi slips with stock headers would have returned better numbers.

I asked the Owner/Tech, who is not a Ducati dealer, whether he thought there was an performance benefit of the pipe over my Termi slip setup..."No" was the plain answer.

Appreciate the honesty mate, which I know you said in a previous post, that you were not going to sugarcoat anything just because you bought the pipe.

At least you have a sound improvement.

The results show you need to get it on a dyno blowing air into the front of the bike as I and other tuning centres previously stated. It's just not possible to map or gain accurate figures without doing this.

Is the above still your plan taking up the offer from the other dyno centre?

Sorry to hear my friend:(

Yes I am planning to spend even more money to have it dyno'd at Bunbury.

If it turns out that they can't replicate your claims either can I return the product for a refund?

Surely this indicates all along what AR have said, the test needs to be done with a blown air dyno as per other tuners comments.

And what basis does the dyno tech have for saying the Termis would perform better?

Has he done a side by side comparison? I think not.

An open race system, like AR, needs to flow-in as much as it does out to gain the performance.

Surely AR, with their F1 knowledge are fully aware of this and could if necessary put a bike in a wind tunnel and achieve even more..!

I can see AR walking away from this forum if the schitt slinging starts again.....

And I for one wouldn't blame them.....

GET THE TEST(SET-UP) ON THE DYNO PREVIOUSLY VOLUNTEERED THEN POST RESULTS.

Are you serious....?????....

Do you take your tyres back if they slide?

Do you get your money back if you don't get the fuel consumption figures as per manufacturers info...?

Someone, another tuner, has already substantiated AR claims and their recommendations to achieve the required results.....

Get it done as per recommended guidelines (previously mentioned by more than one tuner..!)
