Im not getting any further into the crazy stuff posted by a few members. If you chose to read 1 result as read as against looking at the earlier results from Copia and facts from other tuners/dyno centres then that is pretty narrow minded.

As previously stated and previously proven in this thread the dyno needs to be pushing 150mph+ winds into the ram air or the Pani will not perform, especially with an open race exhaust system that expels gasses far more efficiently than a slip on set up. It simply must be mapped with that set up for any exhaust system to see good figures.

Beanflickers comments seem pretty correct to me!

AR stand by its published power figures. If a few dyno centres are not able to re produce the same results that is due to many things, our exhaust NOT being 1 of them.

You're right. You have completely satisfied "relative", unless the AR pipe operates more like a turbo then the Termi, where more air forced into the airbox allows the Pani to combust more fuel and exhaust through the AR pipe, but not the Termi. I added a ram air system to my '92 ZX7R, it helped, but not by a whole lot.

Yep, cause I'm sure on a more optimistic dyno the peak numbers will stack up or at least come close as we saw with Wayne's tune of Copiya's bike in Sydney.

Having spent an extra $4300 so far on top of the $2700 I spent on Termi slips previously I think its reasonable for there to be a relative performance increase given the product claims and I will go the extra mile to find out either way.

No-one wants a good result more than me!

So its not AR,,,Its everybody else?? Right??

Holy crap.... $4300??? and it seems theres more to come?? You must be getting some great discounts on your dyno times...as you said previously you were at around $4600????

I think we're all rooting for you to see great peak numbers. I just don't think it's debate able at this point that the superiority claims made by AR over Termi in terms of both performance and heat are questionable (and most likely untrue) based on your experience thus far. Even copiya and yearone, who have seen good numbers, can't claim that the performance they've seen couldn't have been achieved with a perfectly tuned Termi system. I feel bad that you'll have close to 5k invested in what is essentially a cosmetic upgrade.

+1

A very expensive farkle....

This guy Rich is amazing, "previously stated" maybe but "previously proven" come on dude seriously!

Your claims and empty promises are just impossible to swallow.

On another post a company in Seattle called SPG was mentioned and their web site claim up to 15bhp increase with flashing the ECU alone! No special inconel or is that incompetent exhaust system required. :D

That company did not diss its opponents and had a realistic disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

spgseattle.com is the site for those interested by the way.

This is in response to BrettF and his dyno chart and subsequent claim to have had his bike tuned.

He makes reference to SPG seattle. Self explanatory I thought!

Gavin - I meant whether he is affiliated or not, that's all. Dosen't change the claims/numbers, which are impressive of course.

Like anything in life, if you purchase a product based soley on the manufacture's claims, you are open to disappoint. If you thoroughly research independent owners/reviewers first, you will have a more garanteed experience.

If AR are looking to maintain any semblance of credibility here then they should just refund the guy.... I mean if this a one off freakishly bad result the whats the problem????

Exactly...this is why this thread is important...

Far easier to claim that dyno's, dyno tuners, wind/air flow, and thermometers in the UK are just superior to those in Perth. Nothing to do with the product. Who's up for a group buy?

Whilst I'd generally agree with your point about buying solely on manufacturers claims, me, you and a few other here put down a large amount of cash for a Panigale on just that basis :)

Lets not get hung up on refunds, all said and done I really don't give a .... about the money, its now more a point of principle.

Is the group buy for the pipes or the Dyno??

That's an awesome point! That's why everyone here was so pissed when the comparisons began coming in and the Pani kept getting crushed by the S1000R. Doesn't make the 1199 a bad bike by any means, just not the "checkmate" as promised! This issue is exactly the same. Nothing personal, nothing to be offended by, just NOT what was claimed by the manufacturer. We all love the bike and you'll love the AR once it's sorted.

Guys, lets let WAF decide what he wants to do here, not what we would do. I's up to him and it's getting pretty heated here, let's see what happens. :)

I thought we were doing rather well up to this point with a couple of exceptions ;)

I just thought of another bit of kit I'm going to need to buy - I am going to see if I can find a wind meter to measure the air speed the Bunbury dyno room.

But you should not have to if you are getting the 180s. I forgot about that quote. I really do believe Rich got all his numbers and isn't making them up. He just needs to be VERY clear, this is what he got, and you should get these under the exact same conditions, but not garanteed. If I ever buy a pipe, it would be the Akra, but just for the Ti/looks/sound. I would not notice a 5-10% difference, nor does this bike need that.
