Are the Ohlins units on the S the same as if I had bought them from Ohlins? In the past I believe Ducati used Ohlins but budget built versions.

Whilst I am happy with the riding experience on my Pani S (I still have to track it though and ride with a casual air on the road), there is an inner worm eating away at my thoughts making me think the Pani S Ohlins stuff is a substandard version of the real Ohlins equivalent kit and I should be throwing some money in the Ohlins company direction.

On each of the last four (2 x Suzuki and 2 x Honda ) bikes I owned, I upgraded the suspension to full WP racing shocks and fork cartridges; built and set up for my weight and track riding. The handling was sublime.

not sure about the ohlins on the pani s, but ducati has traditionally used the lower grade ohlins on their street bikes. But if I recall the rear shock on the s is ttx which is a very good shock.

THe top of the line ohlins forks run around $10k a set. Wondering if the DES electronic suspension would limit upgrade options on your forks.
