I would put hat at the bottom of the priority list tbh

I realize it’s not popular but I find the foot brake utterly useless because the ergonomics just don’t work for me.

With the thumb brake I’ll be able to use the rear brake which brings a whole new utility I can incorporate in my riding.

FKR/TTX GP:

The valving is VERY different from the stock suspension. So far I've dropped the front 8mm and raised the length on the rear by 2mm. Still not turning as well as it should but slowly getting there.

Brake/clutch pumps RCS or corsa corta:

Useless imo. Save your cash for something else. The stock brakes are very good. If you ride at a high level and plan to disconnect the abs its worth upgrading to the CNC radial brembo MC (around 500 euros)

I got my carts and shock but waiting on a stand to do the swap.

Did you do the swap yourself or do you know of a walkthrough? which special tools are essential etc..

If anyone has any experience with the IMA thumb brake and can shed some light on what configuration works best I’d really appreciate it.

I run a thumb brake on my 22 v4 track bike... like you I don't bend like I used to so pretty much ignored the rear brake. I did this as an engineering challenge as it is a tight fit...

I also used the HEL dual rear master so I did retain the rear brake pedal meaning you can use foot or thumb (though not both at the same time)

Good quality and an easy fit. I retained it through the ABS unit although as I run in Race A its front only...

@andyb that's a neat setup.

Is there an advantage to using a bottom MC too? Since the foot brake won't be used... does the foot MC assist the thumb MC?

The rear HEL master cylinder mounted with the foot pedal is dual action so you can use either the foot pedal or the thumb brake, but not both at once! I just kept it as its an option and the bike look silly without it. If I don't use it, it's not in the way just available.
The reservoir for the thumb brake and the fluid in the line means you can ditch the original reservoir and tidy up the lines.

On my 2020 bike I replaced the ABS to calliper line and routed it away from that steel line that goes down inside the SA by the tyre , to follow the wheel speed wire and route from the top down to the calliper. ( the RS arm does this) its in the to do list..

Beautiful!

What bodywork is that?

the sides and nose are DP and retain the original difficult fixings, the bellman is Ilmberger (they make the DP carbon stuff for ducati) Its a full belly pan doesn't have the venting like the 22 does but the rear of it is open so heat does have a route out. Fitted quite nicely with the different exhausts...

Fitting a thumb brake is a right faff. be prepared to juggle all the items on the left bar to get everything to fit and miss the body work... but rewarding in the end..
