Neil Fraser Imports has issued a recall, which relates to the previous known issue of the left hand switch block indicator problem.
The recall is dated 24/2/2014.

It's effectively an upgrade in status over a previous TSB, which was issued to cover the indicator problem, and was only covered by warranty if the customer had an issue with the indicators.

We can expect official notification in the near future.

If you haven't had the supplemental wiring loom fitted yet, contact your dealer to have the work carried out.

Cheers:)

Got my recall notice day

I also received the notice today. I've never had an issue with mine, but it's good to see them actively trying to prevent issues with the bike.

Got mine yesterday. Having no problems with it but being a safety issue I am sure they want them all done.

Any idea how long it takes?

It would be nice to be able to drop in for a coffee and a chat while the work is being done.

I got mine today! After taking it for specifically that issue.
They also fitted a Puig screen.

Got my recall letter in the mail yesterday;)

Thanks DUCATI:)

Is the recall specific to the Base & S or include the R - 2012/2013/2014?

cheers

BUSADUC,
The letter is not specific at all.
Just take it in and tell them you've got the indicator issue.
They said mine was done and my invoice didn't list it.
Just the screen install.
Mine was in warmish whether an issue most rides

On the official Govt website they state.

Product description
1199 Panigale MY2012 and MY2013 motorcycles.

Identifying features
New instrument panel VIN numbers starting from:
1199 Panigale basic version - ZDM14BPWXDB011245
1199 Panigale S version - ZDM14BPW8DB011650

If you have received the advisement letter regarding Recall No. 881/14
Then you are good to contact the dealer about getting it done.
Your advisement letter from DUCATI will already have your VIN number on it.
So I would assume they already know which machines qualify for the Recall.

To confirm your status.
You can call the National After Sales Department, between 8.30am and 5.00 pm (Sydney time) on 02 87413838 or 02 87413831.
(Have your VIN number ready)

Cheers:)

Just had mine done along with the 12M service. I actually had the failure and with our cops the way they are I haven't ridden in ages. Letter arrived 3 months after the initial failure.

Looking forward to getting it back and getting riding again.

Cheers,
MoZ

Thanks for the heads up on this guys... i'd moved house since purchasing my Panigale in November so had no idea. Just rang Northside Ducati in Artarmon only to find out they're not my dealer any longer... no more Ducati, apparently it's all happening out of Frasers in Concord now.

That is going to suck - Ducati Melbourne are the only metro dealers down here and their customer service is TERRIBLE! This is what happens when you have an effective monopoly.

Mick you can take it to Motologic who are an authorised Ducati service centre. Far better customer service than Ducati City

Yeah - unfortunately they are that far away from me it isn't feasible considering the hours I work - can only just get it into the city store and be back at work early enough

Its a 10 minute fix. Bit hard to stuff up.
