Whatever else you want to say about MM he understands the importance of putting on a show, he could clear off, but he doesn't he mixes it up hard with the fellas. Roberts used to do the same thing in the AMA road races, he would hang out for a few laps "race " with the boys. Then put his knee down and leave, come back around and race with some more even though he had the field a lap down, for the show.
I wish Johnny Rea would figure that out, because his WSBK dominance is stinking up the show in Superbike.

I dunno...that's a pretty bold assumption. MM is no dummy. Why purposefully get wrapped up into a battle like that and risk losing your entire advantage in the championship (Dovi was basically a DNF) just to "put on a show"? Did you see the tail section of Marc's bike?

Managing his tires and timing his attack is not the same as just toying around for the fun of it. If MM (or any other rider) were able to win by 30 seconds, he would do so.

#MalaysianGP: How Marquez can win the World Championship
MM93 can take his fourth premier class crown in five years at Sepang - here's how he would need it to play out

Following his victory in Australia, Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) has the opportunity to take his fourth MotoGP[emoji769] world title at the Malaysian Grand Prix - something that would bring his

Championship win rate up to 80% over the premier class seasons he has contested so far since 2013. Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) is now the only rider that can stop Marquez becoming World Champion:

If Dovizioso wins the race, then Marquez needs to finish second to become World Champion.

If Dovizioso finishes second, then Marquez needs to finish fourth or better to become World Champion.

If Dovizioso finishes third, then Marquez needs to finish eighth or better to become World Champion.

If Dovizioso finishes fourth, then Marquez needs to finish 11th or better to become World Champion.

If Dovizioso finishes fifth to seventh, then Marquez needs to finish no more than eight places further back to become World Champion.

If Dovizioso finishes lower than seventh, then Marquez will be the 2017 MotoGP[emoji769] World Champion.
Will he do it? Or will the ups and downs of 2017 see the fight roll on to the season finale? Find out on Sunday in the #MalaysianGP.

speaking of Rae sure wish he would get a try . i know he is a little older but why not.

I think JR is real happy where he's at, less time pressure, gets to spend more time with his young family, he has everyone covered, he's changing the record book. And I don't think money is any kind of problem for him.
