Hi guys,

I was wondering if it is possible to put the R electronics on a base model and have that +500 rev range and the R fuel map. Is there anything physically different in the 1199 R engine except the lighter flywheel and titanium rods? Are these critical to having a higher a rev limit?

For the record I have the full Termi exhaust already and the 41 rear sprocket. I want to get it as close to R as possible power-wise.

I'm referring to the 2012-2014 models, not 2015.

the Ti-rods seem to be crucial for the higher revs.

Raising the rev limit should be possible in Tuneboy or maybe even with the RapidBike.

Wasn't there talk of the early 1199s having a higher rev limit then Ducati went and dropped it by a few hundred revs in a firmware update?

Not sure how to manipulate the electronics, but the only physical differences are the Ti rods and lightened flywheel. The flywheel is an easy enough DIY, not so with the rods.

Not sure if the mapping is different, but I am assuming the full Termi with up map will take care of that.

And The Ti valves (x4) in the 2013-2014 R or (X8) in the newr 205hp Full monty 2015/16 'R'

Also,
Doesn't the latest 'R' have the better SL Cams aswell ?

R got "DLC-coated rocker arm", and I think it is pretty important as well for a raised rev limiter....
