Bay Area DDS upmap install

It seems the UPMAP offers no reasonable performance benefit based on the hoops you'll need to jump through to load it.
It does unlock a pretty cool "RACING EVO" splash screen during startup, however.
Are you talking the Ducati UPMAP that’s included with the DP exhausts? Or T800/Brentune?

Damn nice to see Gunther back in action nice!!!!

Yeah the Upmap does absolutely nothing for the bike kind of goes the same for a Rapid bike or Bren install. By time you spend the money on a RB and a Bren flash can have a complete Woolich package less the strain gauge shifter.
I’m a little confused... I get that a RB isn’t ideal as it’s piggybacking and “lying” to the ECU. But why is a T800/Brentune ECU flash not worth it? Sure it’s not custom but I just have an Akra slip-on. And I’m not looking to extract every last HP out of the motor. I’m looking for smoother throttle response while maintaining reliability (those 18-19 AFRs that Brentuning was seeing on the stock V2 map video worry me).

Woolich package is $1k and that’s before welding in 2 bungs for the widebands to the exhaust and then custom tune and dyno time. You’re looking at about $3k for this. Great for racing for sure!

Yeah if you have a slip on then its all not worth doing the Woolich package which a dyno is not needed.

No. I had every intention of doing it but Rexxer talked me out of it. Rexxer said the gains are minor, if any, and that the OEM filter offers more protection. He said that I’d be sacrificing lots of protection for nothing or almost nothing.

My personal goals for my bike have never included squeezing every ounce of horsepower out of the bike. I want a bike that rides smoothly, is low maintenance, and that looks/sounds good.

The T800 is low maintenance, makes the bike ride smoothly, and sound good. There is no question that the map is tuned conservatively but I’m fine with that if it makes my bike more dependable.

I think you've convinced me to go this route. I'm in the same boat.

Careful...

I stated that my bike came with a purdy damn efficient oem filter in a thread here and got blasted hard : )

IF (both caps) a aftermarket filter got you 1% what would that equate to?

1.3 hp?

3hp on an otherwise stock PV4

I always thought that “if the air filter is the limiting factor that adjustments would be made to ensure that is not the case”
Now I know better

A rather moot point as Woolich will probably be out of business before Donna ever gets that mess in any condition to need a gear changing device.

I don’t care about the down shift

Don’t need a blipper

But I do require a clean quick up shift and it seems the only way to do that is with ramping

I can wait for Woolich to answer my support ticket

Thx guys - ur the best : )

Holy hell that was fast:

Dear Don Me,

Hi Don

If you already have the Translogic setup, our will offer nothing more than what theirs does. At this time it's a basic/up downshift setup with just minor adjustments in the software. It's not like our race tools packages for other models with adjustments for up/down shift kill time/blip amount and duration, adjustable launch control or pit limiter.

My honest advice would be to keep the setup you have and save the money for something else.

*Then I explained I only have the strain gauge and they sent this:

Hi Don

As such, there is currently no adjustments for either in our tuning software to adjust such parameters. When we come back and do maintenance on this model we will revisit making a full race tools package for it to put it in line with the other models we offer such kits for. But at this time that is all our sensor offers.

Lots of good stuff in there thx

Nothing about ramping the kill in n out for the shift tho

Do you just use what the ecu offers or you use an additional box? Translogic etc
