Bazzaz Info

I'm interested in the Bazazz if it will help the lower speed fueling.. My Tri fuels quite well when on full throttle like at the track!
What benefits can one expect and how much labor for tuning/ installation?
 
Quick Update - Just got off phone with Bazzaz...connectors still not in (as I suspected).

I did confirm though that the AFM is universal and will work with the 1199-specifi Z-FI. If you already have an AFM unit, it can be reused for the 1199 as well.

We are working on a group buy discount and I'll have more details on that shortly. I'll let you all know when I hear more and when I can confirm a ship date.

Ok, they just called me back with an update of Dec. 7th - this is a production list date so hopefully it's accurate.

Why is this unit preferred to the Dynojet PC? That isn't available either yet. It's been awhile since I've had a bike that needed a custom map, but in the past the PC was the one to get. I'm not familiar with Bazazz and just curious.

Also, I have the full Termi's with the basic map installed by the dealer. No dyno, but I'm wondering if it would be worth tweeking the A/F.

I think it's cheaper.

I don't know if the PC has optional autotune, but as I understand the bazzaz can be used with their "autotune" module, called Z-AFM custom fuel mapping. This module gives you information on how to change the parametres regarding fuelling.

You have to ride the bike with the Z-AFM module to collect data, and then manually do the changes that are recommended.

I think that PC autotune (if there is a such, I think so) makes the changes automatically but according to people who know their ...., this doesn't work that well, where as the bazzaz method of manually tuning your bike works better.

I'd definately buy this for my panigale.
 
Hey all, I've replied to everyone's PM's I believe. As far as technical/install info I'd rather you ask Bazzaz directly as I've installed their units on other bikes but have yet to install one on the Pani so I have no experience with it yet.

Thank you for the info. Will have to look into it more. Not sure I trust myself f---ing around with the A/F mix unless it's very straight forward and is able to go back to default.
 
One of the things we could all do is set up another thread and share dyno results and tunes we get from our respective tuners. I'll be heading to Fastline here in the SF Bay Area soon and I'm happy to share my tunes and dyno results.
 
I just called and ordered mine. So far there are 10 orders places. It's supposed to ship quite soon. If you want one I'd call and give them all your info since they don't stock a lot since there a small company. From what he said they make them as orders come in so. Anyways thought I'd share. No worries man. I'm looking forward to people sharing their results here and sharing tunes. I can't wait to have a custom tune with my AR system installed... It's time to unleash this beast.

If not, I'm pretty sure there are alot of people owning tuning shops with dynos who play around with bazzaz in the US. In Sweden they are few!
 
Just ordered mine up, said they are waiting on some connectors that were supposed to be there yesterday. Hopefully be there today or tomorrow and they can ship.

Wow, that's fast. I'll need to find some time this weekend to install and make an appt at the tuner. Please let us know how the dyno runs go.
