Ogio Mach 5 for daily use here. Its aero and expandable so is perfect for day trip or for going to work, which is a 100mile round trip for me. for multi day trips, there's some good stuff out there, but I personally would use my Camelback BFM (because I already have one left over from my service days) with hydration and all the support and capacity required. The cameback BFM has internal aluminum/composite frame, medial torso support, lower back support, MOLLE for expansion and attachments, more suited for adventure riding, hehe.

I started running this yesterday and love it!

CamelBak Linchpin. 3L hydro pack plus just enough room for everything you need in waterproof pouches. Also wear it mountainbiking. Bonus points for no CF. :)

The BFMs are amazing...went with the Linchpin just to get something a little smaller - either one is all you could ask for.

I have the K 20 & love it. I find that for most of my usage it's more than enough. Can't really tell its on mot of the time.

I use this one. Super lightweight, you don't even notice it, and has the capacity for a hydration pack. I also use it for traveling :)

I love the damn thing, its strange.

I use the OGIO Mach 5.. pretty solid in terms of durability and the clips ensure it stays secure on you..

Storage space is great too

I also have the Mach five. excellent pack, dont feel it at all even at high speeds

I load it up the Mach 5 with laptop and all I need for the day including a bike cover and clear helmet shield and some water. It gets pretty heavy but does well while on the bike. I think I might take my tailbag as well to offload some of the weight off my back, hehe.

Just bought a OGIO No-Drag Mach 1 at an exceptional price, really great pack and fits most items required for a few days, you don't even know you are wearing it, I am 5ft 5 and most packs are to long for me, this is superb!!!! Thinking about it, for more non Hobbits it may only fit one days clothing in it LOL.

Ogio Mach 5. Overall great bag but the waist belt has the clip on the right side so you have to do it up with one hand when suited up. Smaller riders may not have a problem but with a size 58 jacket on it doesn't leave much room to spare.

I use the Kriega R30. It's waterproof and holds a ton of stuff not to mention that the design puts the weight of the pack on your chest, not your shoulders.

+1 on All Kriega stuff. I use the R30 about 2~3 times a week. 30 liter sounds like it would be a large bag but it's not. The compression straps keeps it compact if it need be.

I'm very fond of the Boblebee hardshell backpacks. I've got an older Megalopolis and its completely waterproof while being a CE-certified Level 2 back protector. I'm already wearing a level 2 back protector insert in all my jackets but another one on top of that must be better - right?

Plus they look cool. Here is there newest model - a bit smaller than the Megalopolis, but still hardshell and CE Level 2 certified:
