At the risk of getting negative reaction by continuing the heat theme here's a post on a uk forum.
I got a CF shield from CDT very good finish in matt but not absolutely the same as finish on my DP CF hugger and swing arm cover. CDT Finish has slightly less sheen.
Haven't done any miles yet as weather over here is awful so can't comment on whether it will stand up to heat but it does come with CF washers that sit on the underside of the shield so here's hoping
