Question - what's the best source of parts if I end up doing a rebuild for my 2012 1199? I found this for the top end but wanted to understand where people go for items needed for an engine rebuild parts? (like gaskets, seals)
ATHENA GASKET KIT HEAD CYLINDER MOTOR - DUCATI PANIGALE 1199 (desmo-racing.com)

Same question but if I end up doing a full rebuild (rings, bearings, etc.) and looking for a performance engine items?

Gaskets can be a tough one to find especially if your looking for sump gaskets. I still have a few RS sump gaskets laying around but just sent drawings to Athena to cut us header gaskets, head, and sump pan gaskets to my spec so be available soon.

So it's basically one by one ordering what is needed then? I've been ordering OEM parts from Ducati Omaha so I assume can continue with that process once I determine all what is needed.

The eccentric Ti swingarm pivots been holding up great.

Yeah I know someone made a few sets and that you have one

A year ago you were telling people not to buy my kit because you would be offering a Ti version soon

What is the timeframe with the gaskets????

You must be thinking of something else these ti eccentric pivots my machinist made only two sets in the entire world exist one set is on one bike other set is sitting in a spares box.

I have sump gaskets now how many you need? $35 per gasket the rest the gaskets are in progress.

Can you please do YouTube videos would love to inspect/over haul the gearbox

I'll post some updates along the way.

Just took removed the motor yesterday... probably start by removing the vertical head next weekend but waiting on the crankshaft tool as want to set it at TDC first to do a leakdown test and get some base readings before I take the head off and determine the condition of the motor.

You are a good man

Using that tool is totally cheating tho ha

That would make it too easy : )

Good eye!

Mupo front and rear suspension
Bazzaz electronics w O2 tuner
Woodcraft rearsets, levers, guards
Chain & sprockets
Akrapovic exhaust
Motoholders subframe
Upgraded front brakes
Marchesini wheels
Sure I'm forgetting stuff but it's a nice bike

How did the rebuild go? Looking into this myself. 😅

@rja4z3 I went way into this however changed direction and little.

I ending up get another low mile motor amd swapping it in to get my 1199 back on the track and having a blast with it.

For the engine rebuild I bought all the rebuild parts from Ducati and then got ahold of a 1299 motor so now I'm building a hybrid engine I'll likely out into another track bike and test.

I've still got all the 1199 parts still in packaging if you're interested message me.

Given I've got the other bike running and with family obligations I'll likely not finish the new motor till next spring but it will be a beast. Combo of corse, wsbk, 1299, 1199 parts along with geometry updates for the track bike.

Out of curiosity, is there a standard p/n for a rebuild kit or do you have to order everything individually?

Unfortunately no. I've rebuilt many other motors before so knew the basics and then spent a good deal of time researching and speaking to the small group of ducati engine building for guidance.

Every situation is different depending on what your doing but once you know what you need it's just ordering from Ducati directly.

There are a few companies like Athena that make aftermarket gasket kits but I just stayed with the OEM Ducati parts.
