My 1199 Base made it to the dealer on Monday.

But DNA has not delivered the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) so the bike cannot be registered.

I am the first person to have mentioned this problem on this forum, but at least one other member chimed in that he too is in paperwork limbo/hell.

My dealer told me that DNA did not have the proper paper to print out all the MSOs needed to cover the influx of bikes coming in.

As of 10 minutes ago the shipment of MSOs has not yet arrived, so I will miss another beautiful weekend and a great ride with my buddies.

Not the best intro for a new Ducati owner.

DNA Senior Management is well aware of the problem and apologizes for any inconvenience. MSO's are being sent via Federal Express to dealers that did not receive them, including Saturday 5/26 deliveries.

I spoke with a nice woman at DNA who apologized for the inconvenience and told me the MSO would be delivered via FedEx tomorrow afternoon.*

The only DMV office in my county open tomorrow closes at 1 pm and is 30 minutes away from the dealer.

So I figure if I get my Panigale by Tuesday night I will be lucky. But at least I got an apology. . .

*I spent 35 minutes and made five calls to DNA before I was able to speak with a human

They had a problem with mine too but it wasn't the paperwork. They had the bike but the battery pack (customs issue so they have to ship separate from the bike) hadn't made it yet. But they took care of me and pulled the battery out of the S non-abs they had on the floor so I could get on the road.

So the paperwork showed at about 12:15pm on Saturday and the guy from the dealer raced 30 miles to get to the DMV. . . only find a scrawled note in the door window "Closed due to Memorial Day."

So I'll finally get my plates on Tuesday, but NOAA says there's a 60% POP, and I ain't riding in the rain on those tires. . .

Wednesday is now the target date unless the weather radar is clear on Tuesday evening.

This is painful. Even my wife feels sorry for me.

Never heard my dealer call me at all yesterday about the MSO or the Acid Pack. My dealer did say he ordered additional batteries (supposedly) for this the acid pack reason. He wouldn't let me bring my own battery.....

If of course they are aware of the "PROBLEM" then they will of course re-emburse any issues you have had and maybe (so long as you complain to the dealer) ensure that there are a few free goodies waitng for you on final collection

My dealer said the same thing when I paid for my bike but then he looked again and actually found the cerfiticate of origin. Not a problem for me because I purchased my bike out of state and my home state gives you 30 days to title the bike and get your plates...and pay the sales tax.
