Guys what do you use for bluetooth in the helmet. I have an Arai helmet and will like to add music and call function in the helmet.

I was thinking something like this Sena 20S Bluetooth Headset - RevZilla

Sena stuff is solid and great stuff..I have had an Smh10 for 4 yrs.... I would highly recommend their products..

If you are going to use the microphone a lot for intercom/phone calls then I'd recommend the Cardo Scala Rider products. I've owned many of them (Scala, Sena, Twiins, Chatterbox, Midland, etc.), currently have a Sena SMH-10R on my street helmet mainly for music. We have tested them all on the track at high speed for use in riding instruction, and the only one that has good enough noice-cancelling system to still hear each other on the track at speed is the Scala. I currently have the Cardo Scala Q3 on my race helmet and very happy with it.

I like everything about the Uclear better...except that it doesn't work as well as the Sena. I like the mounting on the Uclear, the buttons on the Uclear, the pairing on the Uclear, but it just isn't clear at speed and doesn't have enough volume. I've got thousands of street miles with a Sena SMH10 and it's much more clear. I've debated politics with buddies at triple digit speeds, no joke.

i just recently got the 3s and i love it.

tiny and for my type of riding way enough

Smh10R every day.

Have fun rocking the sena 20S while riding a sport bike. The mount and unit combined are the size of a teenager fist- huge. No thanks. Bought one when they first came out, wearing anything heavier than a t shirt this thing hits your shoulder every time you move your head.

If radio makes this thing worth another 100$ over the 10R then go ahead. Me personally- I hated every bit of design of the 20S.

Definitely a step backward for Sena in my opinion.

I use cardo scala g9x.. its awesome. I hear Sena is really good too. Sena has one with an attached camera too.

Go try the new cardo packtalk. It was just released.
I got it and am very satisfied with it.
I also had the sena 20S, cardo sho-1, G9 and the sena 3S.

Sena 20S: ok but way too big. Also had a problem with the base mount.
A plastic latch broke off... Engineering mistake. They should have fixed the problem by now (you have to get a unit with a serial number of at least 15...)

Cardo sho-1: really good... And long battery life. Love the automatic volume control while riding. But I switched over to an arai helmet.. The sho-1 is mainly for shoei helmets.

Sena 3S: got this unit since my buddy got it. Since he 3S is not pairable to cardo units, I got myself the 3S... Or 3 different units, as the first two were broken and the battery died after an hour of use.

Now I got the packtalk... Perfect. Automatic volume control, over a 1km talk radius (if the partner also has a packtalk); easy settings adjustment with iPhone app.

Schuberth C3 Pro

I use the Schubert C3 Pro with the bluetooth kit. It is pretty amazing. Highly recommend if you want a more integrated solution.

Sena SMH-10R here... its a great product with no issues. I use it on my Shoei helmets and my Suomy helmets with no issues.

I did however change out the speakers... i use an adapter that allows me to use head phones so I can block out all the outside noise with noise canceling headsets (unlike using the speakers and ear plugs which also seemed to muffle hearing the other people).

awhile back i found a deal on smh10r so i can combine it with sm10 to not only operate my radar detector but also any other bt equipment.

I have the Cardo Scala G9X and it has worked great for me so far. You can use the external speakers it comes with or plug in your own headphones. I've been using the external speakers and then use earplugs to block out the wind noise. Music doesn't blast you out with the ear plugs in but I can hear the music no problem. Of course it depends on how fast your going...;)

Me and my GF have the Scala Rider Q3 (Cardo) installed. Me Arai, she HJC.
A bit tricky to setup, because my Pani's are really loud (but not Phl's level :) ). Automatic voice activated connection mechanism simply doesn't work.
Otherwise a great product, works even on long distances.
But I have to push a button outside the helmet if I want to activate "Voice Connect".

Sena 10R as well, on the basis its slim so less noticeable. I think the big bulky units look stupid, and I'm not sure how the 3M tape will hold at 250km/h

Only problem is the battery is external. On my last helmet (shark) there was an internal battery holder in the foam which fit it nicely, but now I have an arai. It will fit easily under the rear padding but I've got a matte black one so the battery blends into the rear easily enough for my liking.

My buddy and I have the 20S. That thing is amazing. I probably only use about 20% of what it's capable of doing.

You have to see the SMH10R in context on the helmet to appreciate how tiny and unobtrusive it is.
