Brembo recall

Got a call from my local shops service manager last week..., just put me on notice and will be calling me back as soon as the parts arrive.
Has anyone had the new parts installed yet?

Im waiting for the water leak pipe fitted to the SL to arrive in CT should be next week then Im having the part fitted at the same time

Apparently its just the internal piston? this add some concern to me because I was unaware the master cylinder could be rebuilt?

I will report as soon as I know

Out of curiosity, has anyone in Australia received any notification about this recall?

I'm in Sydney and haven't received anything.

Had mine done yesterday, confirm its a small plastic piston with an O ring on each end this is then replaced with an aluminium piston and new cir-clip.
Took the dealer less than 30 mins to complete the job including a road test

Transport Canada has posted the Recall for Brembo/Ducati ... would have not been alerted ,had it not been for the ALERTS posted here .THANX 2 ALL 4 your vigilance and helping keep your fellow bikers safe .

Did they flush the brake fluid as well? or just replace the part?

As far as I observed the part came out with minimum leak or waste from the master reservoir, so the new piston was installed and the system bled afterwards so I dont think the entire system was flushed.

Damn, I need to get mine flushed and was hoping to get a freebie on them when they do my recall lol

In Sydney and not heard anything, but I'm the second owner, so how would Frasers contact me? I'm going to call them, let you know what they say.

I am worried about the extra weight.[emoji23]

So am I. I’m 100kgs in my birthday suit. Let alone fully kitted up! Lowering that power to weight ratio with every bite I take :(

Still not had a recall notice yet. Booked it in regardless.

cant imagine what men who are a 100 + look like on a Pani:confused:

I was on Clifton this afternoon and was looking at a beached whale in a bikini,,:eek:so with some imagination I could almost imagine it..:)..guys some people should really just stick with Harley's or Boulevard bikes form a jap manufacturer:D

hat coat door :)

Why do you assume he is overweight? One of my mates who I ride with is 110kg at 6% body fat. He rides a Gixxer 1K which is grossly undersprung for his weight.

Back on topic, my local dealer have the replacement pistons and have been taking care of the recall. Seems to be pretty quick.

Well I look fat because I'm only 5'7". If I ever in my miserable existence have to have a Harley I will quit riding. Honking fecking things.

However since I posted that I was 100kgs I have lost 1.5kgs. So that's a bonus.

My bike has been called in for warranty how ever the part is about a month out according to Ducati. Warranty has been submitted just awaiting on the part.

at 5.7 you could get a killer bod with beter definition than a taller boy, (just some work and discipline )besides the tall boys cant fit into fighter jet cockpits ...or should I say once they are in we cant close the canopy:eek:

what:) do they say rather a wide boy than a wide mouth :D:D

I was just winding the purists up...

but you know fat boys dont look good on much.....apart from a Burger commercial...:):)

Please take me with some salt...after all Im with Thermalater in September and he will ... me up and throw me to the male porn stars....:p
