For those of you out there poking around at slip-on systems.. I kept my bike stock for racing CMRA this summer for two reasons.

1. Akra full system is crazy expensive $$ (can buy a lot of race slicks)
2. No flash/map/tune for any of the slip on systems and didn't want to have a lean condition and damage the motor.

Might be a good option for those looking at the more affordable Jester system in another thread here. Ideally, would be nice if we could manage our own ECUs and get them tuned as needed on a dyno.. but Ducati.

I'd love to see them offer a plug-n-play race tunable ECU at an extra cost that would give us better options. Would see a lot more representation at the local club races around the world. Give us a flexible platform to work from and the world is your oyster.. my 2c.

I've seen no one talk about the brentuning flash in here and very little from actual customers in the tech section.

Would love to hear from V4 owners that actually have the brentune flash.

Bren doesn't believe in the end user being able to view or edit the tune/changes. For that reason alone, I was skeptical. A few of us decided to have a shootout with Bren and a other tuning platforms. I even purchased the tune out of my own pocket. Bren canceled my order when they found out what we were doing. Speaks volumes for their confidence behind their product. I'm convinced at this point that they're charging $1000+ for a canned tune that's no better than the Akra up-map.

That thread pretty much covers everything you need to know about Bren and how they conduct business.

I was actually referring to Ducati providing that from the factory. Kinda like how Aprilia does.

I'll check out the thread, but that is a lot of back and forth of nothing on either party it seems. Simple check of the brentune vs. stock vs. akra on a dyno with corresponding AFR values etc. should deliver the data needed to make a determination.

From the information described on their page this appears to be the most viable option with different tunes including alternate fueling options. Can't speak to how good it is or isn't, but at face value is the only other choice than T800 canned or big $$$ Akra system.

I tried to facilitate this. There was one more tune we were going to throw in. Like I said, Bren canceled my order when they found out what we were doing. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Woolich is going to release something next year that I think would be worth waiting for. OpenFlash just finished up their V4 tune as well. I believe he's already shipped a few out. They would be worth reaching out to.

Where did you hear about Woolich releasing something?

A local tuner.

I am still waiting for RapidBike to bring their stuff

I'd like to see this as well. Unfortunately, as of a few months ago, RapidBike USA said they don't know of anything currently in the works yet.

The only program that I know of currently that will allow you to tune is Rexxer.

Desmosport in Australia built Troy Bayliss's new V4R and they were able to re-flash the ECU. Not sure what program they were using.
