... every one of them has come back saying things like "this may be the best sportbike of all time" and "better than an RSV4 and S1000RR"...
Jonah Jones....not aka Stewart Jones?
First I'd like to say that 1)I'm not a conspiracy guy and 2) I'm not sure I believe this but:
I heard from my import guru here in Toronto that has already ridden the 1199 in Italy and has friends at the factory and every connection under the sun with all the aftermarket companies...
"The 1199 will be dead very soon"...These were his words. I said come on youre joking and he went on a rant on how not one of his suppliers or manufacturers are tooling for add-ons and that the factory stopped or never started production and that if you went to the factory for a tour they wont even show you the 1199 production line...like its a secret.
So I press him on all this and he said basically the WSBK team cant get it to work and that Bayliss "blew it apart" or something when fitted with race spec engines and stuff...The frame wont work and the thought is that some other kind of frame or space-frame needs to be engineered.
I hope its all just speculation but he did seem to be pretty sure. Guess he's seen alot of bikes over the years and NEVER has seen NO activity in the aftermarket...
I still dont believe it to be honest and think its just a real slow prodution and/or problems with supply of parts or something...But if the chassis wont work for the race team that would be an issue wouldnt it???
I got injured at work and the dr put me on perminate restrictions and my work let me go. Indiana is a right to fire state so nothing I could do.
