I just picked up my new 2019 V4 base model from 600 mile service... plus Akro full system exhaust install, Ducati Traction & Wheelie Control Evo 2 software install, Ohlins FGRT214 forks and TTX shock install... and I am just giddy and have been laughing randomly for the past few hours. Due to a crash and then a theft, this is my third V4 in about 2 years (2018 V4S [crashed], 2019 V4 base with suspension upgraded [stolen], and now a 2019 base with lots of mods[new]). I've never had the race exhaust before or this software, but now I do and my first impression is "WOW!" Just wow! The power is fantastic and a bit intimidating even, the sound is ferocious and aggressive as f, and the cripsness of the upshifts was awesome.... Plus the expert Ohlins tech at MotoForza in Escondido CA set a solid baseline suspension setup that immediately felt great, at least on my quick 20 mile test ride.
Wow, what a toy. Lights and other street garbage comes off this weekend and I'll probably hit Auto Club Speedway AUG 22 to shake this bike down properly. This thing is unnecessary, outrageous, absurd, and probably reckless, but that's what makes it so much fun. So fun!
