Are you guys going to produce a full front race fairing soon?

You need to speak to your nearest distributor, which in the US would be OPP Racing. I'm sure they could contact CDT for you and get a definitive answer. I should point out that I am not affiliated with CDT in any way.

Great product, if I ever lose control and start buying carbon for my 1199 it will be from Full6. How much did the Panigale weigh in the video.

Im sure the stuff in China is made the same way.Except maybe with chickens and stray dogs running around the factory.

OPP has a local distribution center that I visited and inspected some of the CDT carbon parts. The parts are decent quality, for a deal. I also inspected some of their parts at one of our Ducati dealers and I found a few imperfections (e.g. ridges along seams, finish missing resin, etc.)

Since these are cosmetic pieces it goes without saying that they should appear perfect, at least on the visible side. I was also disappointed that the rear hugger did not have a smooth surface against the tire side. I would expect it to attract a lot of road debris and be much harder to clean.

I wonder if their rebranding is going to be used to enter the higher end market or justify raising prices?

Well one thing I do know is that CDT are responsive to feedback. They have and will take on board any suggestions or comments you pass on to them through a distributor. I agree that there are certain aspects that could be improved, but if there are issues worth noting and pointing out, then these need to be addressed to the distributor or you could fire CDT an email direct.

Lieb-Speed, as I have mentioned before, are possibly the only company where the products they produce are flawless in every sense. It is a shame they do not produce a wider range for the Panigale, but what they do make is utter perfection.

As it stands, the "fullsix" range of products is not available on their website yet. Instead they offer a "race" or "streetline" series of products. I suspect that this will change very soon, though it is not clear yet whether the "fullsix" range of products will supercede the "streetline' series or be offered along side it.

My Ducati dealer was going to return the parts that had deficiencies to OPP.

One of the CF hoods I bought from Seibon had a quality policy that allowed for "imperfections", which apparently covered the large clear air pocket on one edge. I have never bought another CF part from them again.

My advise is to inspect your CF parts carefully before accepting them. CDT can be good value provided the parts are finished well.

My experience :

My optics : Quality is #1 over $$$.

I have CDT Gloss (1098) and CDT Matte (1199). Quality of CDT Matte is very poor, no way justifies the price tag and hassle.

Ducati Performance and Carbonvanni are far superior to CDT.

Rarely I will knock a supplier, however CDT has a ways to go (for their Matte).

Quality first. +1

Gloss definitely hides flaws better than Matte. That said, heat and UV can discolor the gloss and hazing and cracking can occur. (How much depends on the manufacturer and the process).

For the man that has it all, how about some $100 CF reservoir brackets! CDT Elite Series Carbon Fiber Brake & Clutch Reservoir Brakets For 2012-2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale | Motostarz USA | Motostarz.com

I just shook my head when I saw the sticker price in the parts display at Ducati. Frankly, they look like a hassle to make. In comparison, my CF licence plate covers cost me the same amount although they can be mass produced to offset costs.

I'm not seeing prices. Approximately how much would it cost to do a complete swap a la the bike displayed in the video?

Great video that demonstrates just how much f'in work goes into producing CF parts.

No kidding. I've gotten the chance at work to do a few lay ups of small pieces of CF that will eventually make their way onto satellites and its extremely difficult to get consistent results. I'm always impressed seeing flawless CF layups. Quality most definitely costs money.

It looks like Lieb speed do not make an exhaust cover. Any suggestions on who would look close and be of good quality in the gloss? cheers :)

Yes it's a crying shame they don't. As I have said on many occasions their stuff is perfection. Simple as that. As for alternatives, that rather depends on what system you have, stock , full Termi, Akra?

CDT do a version of the stock cover and I believe they will soon be offering the modified heat busting version as well. I'm going down the Akra route and fitting their own rendition. If I were in your shoes,I would try and temporarily get my hands on the DP carbon version then you might be able to decide which you prefer best. I believe Ilmberger do one, which is well executed, but a bit of an eyesore.

Here is the CDT fullsix/strada version

Drop conquestcarbon.co.uk an email for a price. The nearest CDT distributor to you is in Malaysia, though not sure you they would give you as good a deal as Conquest might be able to offer you.
