Hi Guys! Long Story Short:

1. I am from the Philippines, our Ducati dealer here does not carry the akrapovic slip-on, just a full system.
2. Luckily, i was able to get a brandnew unused Akrapovic Slip-On from an ebay seller in the USA who sold his bike before install, and I am shipping it here.
3. I asked seller to give my VIN# to his dealer, so that they can match my VIN to an Akrapovic Dealer Tune for download.
4. Seller confirmed that they typed in my VIN, and saw a star white Panigale, (which is correct my color).
5. While exhaust is shipping, I gave my VIN to my local dealer to check their system if there is indeed an Akra map available for my VIN. They havent responded. I dont even know if they know why it would take them so long to check.

So can anyone here confirm that this is how it works? Are Ducati dealers connected to some global VIN system where once your bike's VIN is registered anywhere globally to have purchased an akra slip-on, that any dealer should be able to check and see the new map is available for download to the bike?

Thank you!

*PS, im totally fine and prefer the dealer akra tune because its free and part of my payment hence not looking into other custom tunes.

Thought that exhaust just came with a T800 and you load the free map for the Akro exhaust and that was it, but that's for the full system

The Akrapovic exhausts do not ship with a T-800, which is a Termi product.

The dealer who sold the exhaust registers it to your VIN and any dealer can then flash the bike. I haven’t read about this being done on used systems from private sellers, and have heard of issues with this being done with new systems whereas the involved dealers are in different countries.

I’d install the exhaust, buy a t800 with the free map, upload your factory map onto their cloud, and install one of the exhaust only maps and be done with it
