I hate the search function now, simple searches like these should easily pop up because im sure this has been discussed a million times..but i cant find anything maybe it‘s just me..

Anyway I normally get a tinted MRA double bubble windsreen, and I’ve just noticed that they have a black one coming out soon, i do a low percentage of night riding, mostly bright sunny days, and a dark screen would complement my bling i know its mostly for looks.

But I’m thinking the dark windscreen will mess with the light sensor, making the bike think its always “night” and enable dark mode on the dash as well Turn on headlights, now i know that i can turn it off but i want it to work as it should..

Just wanted some opinions ?

Ive got a clear MRA with a tint on the front 1/4 over the instruments and its fine, personally Id go for clear over tint or black. Even though you are mostly looking over the top, part of your view is through the screen when you tuck especially on a double bubble. If you never tuck then whatever you like will work.

The OEM V4R screen is nice, I bit taller than the stock V4/V4S screen and has a slight tint to it. Also very optically correct when looking through it.

Thanks for the input, I went with the MRA tinted, best of both worlds I guess.. the all black looks good with all of my other mods, but its not functional at all, especially when tucked In addition to the possibility of night rides.. I still dont know how the auto headlights and tft sensor will react with the tinted but i guess i will find out if any issues just get the clear.

Depends
BLACK = SQUID
MEDIUM = SQUID-ISH
CLEAR = NON-SQUID

This is amusing and interesting! I had no idea what tint a person chose for their screen denoted being a "squid" or not..
I'm not a fan of dark, but if it works for you then it's all good
I'm not a fan of clear because you loose the definition of the lines of the bike, it looks like things stop at the top of the fairing and somethings missing. With a light smoke/tint you get that definition of the continuation of the lines of the fairing.

You put into words what I was trying to explain to a friend... with clear seems like something is missing...

My post is a bit tongue in cheek fellas. But the real thing is I understand if you think it looks good, I just wouldn't ever use a tinted screen because I need to be able to look thru it... But I dont ride on the street so different perspective
