Has anyone had their clip on clamp break on them? I was moving my bike around the garage and I felt it come lose, I thought I had just twisted the throttle and then it came sagging! I was so glad it didn't break on the road! Is this a known issue?

Please do. I’ve been around these forums since the 1199 days and haven’t heard of that happening before.

It’s possible if you severely over-tighten the pinch bolt. Even Ohlins forks will crack at the axle if the pinch bolts are over-tightened. The required torque is very low for both.

Have not messed with those bolts. or any bolts up there at all.

22nm I think for the bar clamps, top clamp pinch bolts etc. The bottom pinch bolts for the forks are much lower.

I was told by my dealer to watch the force the straps put on when I trailered it home in November.
🤷🏻‍♂️

That could be it, you are so lucky it didnt happen out riding

Oh yeah, that's what I was trying to do. All I had to do was turn it around in the garage and off I go. I made it halfway turning it around in garage before that happened. I mean if it held on 30 more seconds I would've been out riding that thing.
