Hi everyone. '21 SFV4. Clutch has started to "bleed off" pressure when the lever is applied for any extended period. (Think long stoplight, etc)
Initially upon releasing the clutch lever, it would occasionally "bite" immediately and surprise me, resulting in an unintended stall once or twice. Today, while waiting at a light (hot day), lever depressed, bike stalls due to pressure bleeding off, causing clutch engagement while I'm on the brake. Lever would feel "soft" for a quick second but then feel fine again after a squeeze or two.
My initial thought was the clutch slave, but saw a Youtube vid where they stated the dealership replaced the clutch master cylinder? I know it's one of the two, obviously.

Anyone else experience this in the past or currently? Common rumor is that this happens at around the 3K mark, which I am at.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Bleed it, takes about 30 seconds and see how you go. Step 2 is flush the fluid, it seems to get burnt pretty quickly. These are quick fixes, if you still have an issue then people have success with replacing the slave but my experience was that once I upgraded the fluid all my clutch bleed issues disappeared (1299)

I read something about this on this forum before, and the dealer blamed the rider for holding the clutch in too long lol.

Scared me enough that I always pop into neutral at lights and avoid holding the clutch in as much as possible.

I only do that if I'm going to be stuck there a while and only when the car behind me comes to a stop.

Yeah +1 bleed/flush with Motul RBF600

I also flushed through front and rear brakes with RBF600 soon after getting my V4. Front was spongy from factory and rear fluid became blackened pretty quickly. Nil issues since flushing through with RBF600
