Guys I may be barking up the wrong tree but since I fitted the comfort seat the heat problem seems to be reduced. I think The seat seems to position my legs in a way that more air circulates, reducing the heat build up.

Hmmmm

I hope you are right on this. I DEF see a huge difference in long rides but never really rode it with stock seat long enough to tell a heat difference.

Does the comfort seat seat you up higher? I would like to change my seat but I'm already tip toeing with the stock seat. :(

It feels like it is a bit higher and a different shape which is probably why I think it helps. I may just be dreaming though.

Sorry

Yes, unfortunately for you it will raise the height for you about 1 1/2 inches at least. Makes all the difference in the world as far as comfort (hence its name) but will make it a bit taller. Wondering if there is anything you can do to lower it a bit? I read somewhere about some companies that can take your stock seat and customize it , maybe even take some filling out of the comfort seat perhaps to lower it. I really dont have an answer for ya except maybe stretch yourself to grow taller? :D

Gunny Fitz... lol.. I wish I could stretch myself taller. Being on the shorter end really sucks!

I would love to get my hands on one but I am really anal with riders position and such. Im affraid that a 1.5 in raise in the back will change the weight distribution in the bike changing the handling. Anybody experienced this?

I have had the comfort seat from mile one so I guess I can't really compare. What I can saw however is that it still feels hot when you are in slow traffic. I'm always wearing a one-piece leather suit.

Most of the time I try to ignore it but I guess I've accepted it as the price I have to pay for a frikking awesome exhaust :D. Oh btw, I ride the Panigale S.

The seat itself is really comfy! I have one on the Streetfighter S aswell.

I rode the stock seat until first service and comfort since. It feels taller, but not by a huge amount. Seems to break in a little as well after some use.
Hasn't been as hot outside so I can't say how much of a difference the seat made.
I put approximately 700 miles on stock and another 700 with 'comfort'.
Comfort is much better not just on padding but on grip. Stock seat was hard to prevent my body from sliding back when bike went above 8K RPM.
It does stick to my jeans, but in leathers I don't notice any difference.

I do feel I am getting accustomed to the heat more than I was before. I have also learned to prevent heat by airing out my legs more frequently right from the beginning of the ride.

The comfort seat is just great and I ride more on the 'sporting' side, not touring.

Regardless of it being a tiny bit taller you are not going to notice any discomfort in riding position nor change in the geometry of riding at all. They make the "race seat" as well which is just about as tall as comfort but the entire thing is the same fabric, without the nice ride stitching on it!

It is every bit worth the investment and I am even getting one as a passenger seat for my wife! Get rid of the stock seat and move up to either one of these! ASAP!

Comfort seat doesn't cut down on heat. At least nothing noticeable. Comfort seat is excellent and has cool contrast stitching. Race seat is a bit harder and changes seat position a bit further back ( comfort seat is sloped to have you sitting more upright). Both are better than stock.

No sorry it does not cut down the heat at all, I have riden with it for 400 kms after having the stock for 1000 kms

Very happy with it though it is a 100 times more comfortable than the stock but does put more pressure on your wrists

This is what I am affraid of. My butt can take punishment (Sounds weird but you know what I mean) but one of my wrists is too delicate due to surgery and it hurts tons when there is too much presure. I think Im staying with the piece of cardboard.

I had my stock seat redone with Cordara. Same height better grip! No change in heat :) Took about 30 minutes (ok 45 with the red stitching...

That looks really good! And I suspect the grip is a lot better.

I'm planning to have my stock seat done with Alcantara over the winter.

I installed the comfort seat a week ago. About an inch higher than stock, I seem to have noticed a slight reduction in heat (might be my imagination), but I've had a different experience with wrist pain. With the stock seat, the pain in my wrists were excruciating! Couldn't really move into a comfortable position, and if I did, I slid out of place with braking force. With the comfort seat, I don't have this problem. Much less pressure on my wrists.

I think the comfort seat is Alcantara... at least it felt like it when I last held one.

What material is that? I googled "Cordara fabric" and only got results for cordura, which is a touch fabric mainly used in military gear and motorcycle jackets. The material you used looks more like a suede type material. I really like the looks of it and want to do the same to mine.
