Hey guys so here with a question for y’all, I saw motomillions video of him getting an actual gasket made for his oil pan on his SP2. So now here I am asking, can anyone point me in the direction of a company who would be able to make me a gasket for the oil pan/ stator cover/ ect.. ?

This liquid gasket stuff sucks lol

$99 oil pan gasket seems like a lot for what it is.

If you want to DIY it, how we used to make gaskets was to buy gasket sheets, place them on the part and tap gently with a soft faced hammer (copper or plastic) to get the outline and cut with a sharp knife

Coincidentally the other day I saw this video on printing gaskets out of TPU and was amazed it held up to the fuel and heat so well.

Amazing..who would've thought TPU plastics in general hold up to oils and heat. Thanks for sharing your light bulb moment but that's not really a valid point. Are the gaskets sold? Seems like that what OP was looking for

Materials science is a must if you're doing any kind of 3d printing. He should file a patent for those and you'd probably buy them just because they're 3d printed lol

Take an impression of the pan hole and perimeter profile on a sheet of paper after applying some carbon black and oil on it, cut it to spec and scan it. You can then get them laser cut from asbestos based gasket sheets that are available at automobile shops. I've done this while restoring my 1944 vintage Triumph. Works like a charm.

Forgot to add, a CAD drawing generated from the scan would be most accurate and with asbestos, you get an outline with the laser, not a cut with basic laser engravers. Gasket paper can however be cut.
