Competition Werkes Tail Light Intergrator

Have you seen their fendor kit? If i knew it was so cheap, i would have saved the $$ for something else and asked my company's machine shop to help me out. THEY all like MY ducati 1199, not sure why! :)

I couldn't agree more. The metal work on the CW FE is so shotty IMO. Unfortunately it's the only one out there that puts the plate where I want it (other than Bucci's but that won't let me use the rear pegs).

Unless I see or hear otherwise I'd be worried their integrated light would be shotty as well. One can only go off of past experiences with a company of course...

The first intergrated tail light from compwerks was on my 2007 R1 and it's still working today, I do agree there fender eliminator was a cheap peice of aluminum that the rivets would pop off because of the vibration of the bike. I had to replace mine on my 1198 because of the poped rivet and compwerks had no problem replacing it, all they wanted was a picture of where it was broken and I received it about a week later.

In a week or two, I might have an alternative to CW's sheet metal (with all due respect, since, as far as I know, they were the first to give us a decent alternative). Same guy that's installing my Rearview camera, is making a custom Fender eliminator, minus the license plate holder--Fiberglass and painted.

We'll see how it turns out--so far he's given crazy attention to detail.

I look forward to seeing it. I'll wait until you have it before I throw out the questions. :D

i would have made a mock up then have my company's machine shop to make one up using oem bolt holes etc OUT of Stainless steel and probably a little more on the thickness as well.

I installed my CW tail light last night. Took just over an hour but it can be done in half that time. I wasn't sure what needed to be removed so I removed more than I needed to. :) Everything lined up correctly and the lights work perfectly.

now that you have them in front of you, do you think they are bright enough? I have the ones that came with the CW fender eliminator and you can hardly see them blinking

I can't speak for the CW FE turn signals, but the light housing is definitely bright enough. I'll try to take some daylight video when I get home.

I would def like to see what the tail light looks like in the day light

I happened to be in Eugene this week and thought a drive to CW was in order, as it's only about 50 miles south. I was greatly impressed by the fact that CW make their entire exhaust systems in house using their own CNC machinery and flawless hand laid TIG welds, and that they borrow or buy bikes upon which to install everything to insure proper fit and quality. Their Panigale is still sitting there....along with the Agusta F1 they were building an exhaust for!

After demonstrating their tail light for me they set my company up as a dealer and I walked out the door with a tail light assembly (in clear) and a "standard" fender eliminator as our first order. The lights are plenty bright and the turn signals (in yellow...though the yellow has a bit of a greenish tint to my admittedly colorblind eyes) are CLEARLY visible while the brake light is applied.

Installation was a snap and I got to shed the annoying strap that I would never have used inside the undertail compartment.

Pics to follow if anyone is interested.

Bump for pics / vid please.

I have rear pegs (painted semi Matt black) fitted to my S with the full Termi system and new Ducati heat sheild - would the CW eliminator attach to this ok?

Also, what about a light for the number plate - surely this is required by law? I'm contemplating integrating the turn lights into the tail lights and removing the rear indicators but leaving the Ducati performance tail tidy on with the plate as I'm not sure if moving the plate to the manifold / rear pegs is legal in Sydney AU. And if I get pulled over for it & they start asking questions about the full Termi system & DB levels it could get ugly...

TIA

I shot vid last night. I'll try to get it edited down a bit this evening and post it up. My installation shows the license plate mount and license plate light, too. It is required in the States.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING. That is not too bad, nothing is going to be perfect, but that is pretty damn good.

I wonder could you get a small set of lights next license plate to add an additional light/signal to enhance this?
I think you could. You'd have to splice them into the existing wiring but I can't imagine two small LEDs overloading the circuit?
