Confessions of a former sport mode rider...

Are you running a turbocharger? all joking aside the difference couldnt be any more night and day. 195lo requires a full roll of the throttle to unleash power. 195hi requires me to merely communicate with the bike telepathically and said power is delivered. are your sport and race modes set up with the same engine settings? for instance both my sport and race modes are set up in 195hi. its not the mode youre in but the engine setting.

I've ridden extensively in both modes....high and low. I think you missed my point. You can put the bike in high mode and just use your wrist to control throttle response. But having said that, I still don't notice a big difference. Very minor. Just my opinion.

I have a BMW 1600 with the same modes. I feel more of a difference on it, but it has a very poor throttle by wire. It's just not very linear or smooth which is exaggerated in sport mode, so you just have to be smoother with the throttle. I've heard the newer ones are better, but I can't confirm.

Been using wet low power mode for max mpgs and minimize tire wear. I can't see needing the 195hp on street / freeway or anywhere on public roads. So how many miles on your bike?

Might I suggest the Ninja 250 for your use?

I've been riding 195HI for a couple of weeks now and I have a love/hate relationship with the extra throttle responsiveness especially at low RPM/speed.
On smooth roads I love it.
On bumpy roads it is just too touchy to be comfortable.
Still, stick to smooth roads would seem to be the answer !
