I was just talking to the point of an engine needing fuel to run, I see your clarification everything else continues with the wheel turning, so engine is "operating" just not "running", waiting for fuel to enter the picture. What area of TX are you in? My family was from Waco/Sherman.

This has happened to me once about a month ago. About 30 seconds after starting. Pulling on helmet/gloves/not on bike. Just shut off. Hit the starter button again and it fired right up. Hasn't happened since.

Just shrugged it off to temperamental, high-strung performance machinery.
