@craig bush It wasnt even $200 that I owed him. I was supposed to send him 2 of my old bush's. Somehow I lost one. So I ordered another a new one which was on back order. The bush's for the 1299 are the same for the top and bottom. They cost $52.00 each. I accidently wrote an extra number on the one I sent. But I did order the 2nd. When he said he didnt like the exhaust I said give me two weeks and I will resell it to someone for $2000. This way the only loss would be shipping. But I also stated if I sell his exhaust he isnt getting the bush's meaning I would cancel the one I ordered and though the one i sent was lost. But I got it back in the mail. He agreed. Within 10 days I find a buyer in Canada. I even offered to pay for half the shipping to Canada. He never responds to my texts or to my post where I was selling a totally different Vandemon with a airfilter for more. He thought I was selling his and bad mouthed me on that post. At that point I didnt read his post and kept texting him. Finally I read what he wrote on my post. And even there I kept appealing to him. He ignored me. I lived to my end of the bargain. He thought I was trying to screw him and sell his exhaust for more and pocket the difference. In the end I had to sell the exhaust to the Canadian for $2000 and at that point made zero.Yes, I saw that thread.
If it was me, I would have stated my case and then left it alone - not drone on about it in every thread mentioning the individual for months on end.
This isn’t hypothetical Don. I have a current issue with a shop that owes me thousands for wrecking my car during testing, and hastily repairing the right quarter (that brushed the wall) without telling me (repair was ~$3k). They also owe me a set of Carrillo HD rods and CP pistons for a supra motor (~$3k). The likelihood I see any of that - low.
But the expense (or lack thereof) here is a secondary issue. The primary issue is the manner in which you chose to present your case.
Here is the thread I made that started it all. And here is the proof that shows I kept writing that I have his exhaust sold. Just get in touch with me. He never got in touch with me. As I said I lived up to my end of the bargain. He got so emotional thinking the post was about his exhaust that he backed out of the deal and didnt respond. So why should I send him anything? I wound up cancelling the order for the new bush and have the old one sitting in my garage. And the funny thing is, Don texted me the next day demanding I pay him $193.65 for the two bush's he bought for his 1199 because he never got mine. Now mind you the ones for the 1299 cost around $52 and change for each. So even if I bought him new ones that would have been $105-$106 plus $10 shipping. So total $115-$116. Why the hell would I pay him for the 1199 bush's when he was supposed to get my two old 1299 bush's. And I lost one. So I sent him one which cost me $8 shipping and the 2nd one cost me $63. Total cost $81. Yet he demanded $193.65 even though the dude broke out deal. And the best part of it all is Don started a posted asking for advice on using the 1299 bush's. Almost everyone said not to do it. On top of that I even offered to contact Woodcraft on his behalf since Im a dealer. And talk to them so they would take back his race fairings which didnt fit right THAT I NEVER EVEN SOLD HIM. I did call and spoke to them and was told to call back so we can discuss this a little more and reach a conclusion. I didnt have to do that. But after what transpired Jan 15th I said screw this. Im not wasting my time and energy trying to help someone who basically stabbed me in the back.
