Just saw the post, Davide is going to run a BMW next year in British Super Bikes,
Shakey and Be Wiser are upping everyone else's game.

Must keep my eye out for him, I'm in Northern Ireland so I've no idea who he is TBH.

Mind you our Jonny Rea is putting the poops up the MotoGP boys today on the new zx10. Sorry but I've always been a green bike guy, still secretly am but I have this Ducati itch I'm about to scratch!

Johnny boy has made all the MGP boy's look pretty bad today testing, he's second quick on the combined MGP/WSBK times, only Bautista posted a quicker time!!!!

Setting a quick lap is cool, but setting a quick lap and maintaining it for a race is something else entirely. Look at Chaz and Sykes. Sykes is good at superpole and 13 out of 26 laps (SP lap -1:30.3, but drops off to the high 1:35s at the end of the race. Chaz puts in a 1:30.5 and runs 1:30.5 for 15 laps and only drops off to high 1:30s and finishes the race at 1:31.0.

This demonstrates a couple of things: One, how good WSBK bikes are, and that they based on production bikes is awesome for owner/buyers. Secondly, that the talent in WSBK, the pool is deep and the boys can run mid pack.

Having said that, I think if #s 93,99,46,25,27 or any other Moto GP winners climbed on a production based bike would push the top SBK riders down the roster in short order.

Disclaimer I didn't put 69 up cuz I really don't think he is in the same league as the above mentioned.

Way back in the olden days in AMA, road racing, Heavy Weight Expert was the exclusive domain of TZ 750's with an odd KR750 Kawasaki showing up from time to time, Super Bikes were the side show, but as the fan base got bigger and they got faster and faster, they became the show.

Steve, nothing wrong with being a green bike guy. The green guys make some pretty awesome bikes. Obviously Rea and Sykes have been proving that the last few years. I'm not gonna lie though, I wanna see Chaz try and stick it to them next year on the Duc. It's going to be a tough hill to climb. Rea looks really good on the new bike already. Hopefully everyone stays safe and it'll be an awesome year of racing. Time will tell.
