Those of you running DB Holders rear subframe, what are you doing for seating?

Anybody know if the RaceSeats seats works with them, would hate to give up my new setup.

Ducati Track seat on our 22 bike, fits fine. Don’t think the extension on the RaceSeats is needed with the later tank design

I’ve noticed back when I was looking at getting a set of race fairings, there seem to be SSK and SBK types. The SSK (super stock) will work with all the street stuff. The SBK is a little more ambiguous.

I hope the DB subframe for the V4 is better than the V2. Their V2 subframe that I got was poorly made. Pierobon or Motoholders.

Thanks for the heads up, I’m obviously a fan of Pierobon, but the problem with them is 6 month deliveries and you have to go through the guy at Boulder Motorsports, the US distributor, and I don’t like him much. When I got the Swingarm it comes with a Carbon Fiber lower chain guard fin, included in the price, it’s about an $80 part that comes with the swingarm.

The guy at Boulder saw it in the box, and tried to charge me an extra $600 for it 😂😂😂

Tried to charge me $600 for an $80 part that I already paid for smh.

Will look into the Motoholders

I've had the motoholders subframe on my 1199 and it worked well but was ugly.

I personally think the DB holders subframes look better but that's my personal preference.

Given we are likely talking about minor differences and tey would all function fine I'd go with what you like and rock it!

Not having a good track day today, I’m all over the place, I think we changed too many things on the bike at once, it’s like a bike I’ve never ridden before, timing is all off on the braking zones, which in turn is throwing off my line.

That sucks. Don’t push - pushing when you’re not feeling it is a good way to crash. Let the track come to you. When I’m not feeling it, I concentrate on fundamentals and slowing down and trying to be smooth.

What changes did you make Stevo? Can you reverse some/any of them yourself?

I put the old tank extender back on an immedietly felt more comfortable…got some private coaching from Tony Ellias…VERY helpful, got into a good groove

Then the clutch went lol

Had fun though after we fought through a rough morning.

Yep, calmed down and settled into a groove…between the gearing change making the bike faster on the straights and making it turn much sharper it was really throwing off my corner entry speed, was being too aggressive, with a bad line, bad combination.

Then I got to follow a former MotoGP rider around the track, that was huge even at my riding level.

That's good to hear. I ordered one of them a few days ago.

I still think the RaceSeats long term is the way to go, I like it, but definitely have to adjust to it cause it’s a slightly better (and frankly better) body position, just not a good idea to try and adjust to that while also adjusting to totally different gearing and bike geometry for me today, switching the tank extender was the easiest way to get what I was use to already on the bike for today.

My issue seems to be I need to get my butt farther back to get tucked. I saw one of those two tier racing seats that was for doing just that, but I think you would have to get a full SBK spec tail to make that happen.

My priority list still has body position in turns higher. At NCM I was using way too much grip on the bars and my right hand was getting numb. The tank shape doesn't inspire confidence.

ETA: Something like this only the step was much more to the rear. All of the WSBK Panigales seem to use a much different tank. I found one last night but can't see to find it again. It wasn't cheap, but for what people want for a stock tank, its not too much of a reach.

The 22 tank has really helped ergos. Might be worth looking for some be of those used.

As for getting farther back in the seat just let the bike pull itself forward until your backside hits the stop as you accelerate

Remember, the sbk tank is one of those parts that starts a cascade of other parts to make it work - at least rear subframe and sbk seat iirc. Probably others as well. Brad can confirm if you’re interested.
