We’ve played with the idea of getting a custom longer rear subframe, that also would be easier to do in a WSBK setup.

Although, to return the gross factor favor, I put some stomp grip on the little diamond shaped section in the tail and plant my ....... right on it and seems to be working fine, if I were a couple inches longer in the torso maybe not though.

Taint on the stop if you are over 6' seems to be the play.

On another note, one positive for today was all the working out I did in the last month paid off…last track weekend I was gassing out on laps 6 or 7 and on lap 5 at the end of the day, today I never gassed out at all and felt strong on every lap.

Peloton and Kettle Bell swings are my new bests friends .

I’ve found that yoga is where it’s at for trackday riding. Helps with flexibility, core, holding static poses, relaxing, and mental strength. Hot yoga if you can find it.

That thigh machine all the twenty somethings in the leggings use is worth a visit as well.

I've heard more than one person mention stationary bike riding, but stressing a type of intervals vs. a long static ride.

Yeah I can see that, I got my cardio up to functional levels, and core strength, but need more flexibility…when Tony Ellias was following me and coaching between sessions, he kept saying ‘just open your knees up wider and you’ll be dragging knee’ and that I was only 2 inches off the ground, if I just extended my leg more I’d be there….but I was extended as far as I could go 😂😂😂

Don’t forget to relax your outer leg. That’ll get your butt off the side a little more too. A lot of people tense the outer leg because you feel you’ll fall off or not be able to get back up. Remember also not to try to reach out to drag a knee. Only use enough lean to get the job done. As you get faster through the corner, the knee drag will come. It’ll actually come when you least expect it bc of how relaxed you’ll be.

This is also a good hip opener: Frog Pose - Mandukasana - The Yoga Collective - How To Do Frog Pose

Or if you’re Azn you’re genetically predisposed to flexible hips. Hanging cigarette (or latte) is a must.

Steven, raceseats.it will make seat pads to your specification. So, if you want a thicker seat pad, different angle, or stepped at the back, they can do it. The flatter angle, thicker pad, is very popular. Check out Jack Miller's V4R he's riding in ASBK.

I have the same pad as you, and under up removing the tank extender on it too. Was just uncomfortable for me. I did fit a tank cover, without any extension, as I was trying to emulate the 22 tank. It works quite nicely for me. I think Karl has the tank cover with large extension, but, may not be comfortable for you?

It’s the sharper angle of most tank extenders, I have a bit of what they use call a barrel chest, meaning fairly thick front to back, so the sharper Angeleno tank extenders hit at about my sternum and keep me from getting enough of my head below the windscreen as I need to in a tuck, and that’s with my butt all the way back and using a touring taller windscreen.

Thanks for the heads up on RaceSeats.it…20 mm higher would improve my front lean tuck angle and open up the knee bend a bit.

I’ve been getting a lot of coaching and have been making a lot of circles and figure 8’s in parking lots on pit bikes learning body position and weight transfer etc etc etc…and learning to feel and control front and rear tire slip.

You actually want to push fairly hard on the outside peg with your foot while turning your chest and head toward the apex or steering point, as if you were turning and jumping to that point in slow motion, and keep the weight OFF the inside peg and relax the inside leg.

This helps the bike keep edge grip on the rear wheel. If you want to experience a fun slide transfer weight for the outside peg to the inside peg mid corner, and see what happens lol

As a side note, my favorite shaped tank is the Gixxer, it’s perfect lol, too bad they can’t put a Gixxer tank on a Ducati lol

Tabata

20 seconds on 10 seconds off for 10 minutes remarkably fast and effective workout on the Peloton. Easy to do twice a day even when you’re busy.

Even doing Tabata intervals for 4 minutes is remarkably effective if you go maximum intensity for the 20 seconds on.

I think I need that seat. Have been craving one that is not as sloped as the stock item. I’m 6’2” and need to be able to move my weight around. I hate how the stock seat pushes you forward into the tank.
Have you tried the Ducati race seat? All of the extra height is in the front. I still would like a flatter seat, but it's better than stock.

Race Seats does have three models they advertise as having a flat profile.

@Steven31371 I’m ready to go pro! Lol j/k

Glad that you had a good track day. Coaching is an excellent way to improve. It’s crazy to me how they see all types of issues that we are oblivious to. Looking forward to riding with you again soon.
