Hey Tallbaldone have you heard how many 1199's per shipment there will be or any other details re delivery that you might get from a larger city dealer??

I heard Fraser Sydney will only be getting around 50 on the first release, most likely the S and tricolore models. I know for a fact Im number 20 in line for an S model. The anticipation is killing me, May, June can't come quick enough!

Hi Waxer.....Yeah I have heard April/May with the guy's going down for their 1199 schooling March.
I checked in Jan and at the time there was 150 bikes on order......proabably more now with the test reports.
I also heard the first shipment of accessories are coming soon, as I have SS manifolds on order.

Yeah read that too, not bad review, few more things I've learnt from that. Might be more 'S' models in April than we have been lead to believe..time will tell.

I agree it was a pretty good write up on the bike and definetly no sugar coating it.
That kick stand sounds like it is going to be a pain in the arse...still I can live with that and I am getting my system ceramic coated so I hope that will keep it a bit cooler for our summer rides up here.
I know I am in that first shipment, so I am happy...how about you ??

Can't help but feel all of these write up's are still holding something back, you know the neither confirm nor deny line. None the less think Sam told it how he saw it, guess he doesn't want to spoil his own comparison later in a way too.
Regarding a delivery for myself I was told June from an early Jan deposit as he didn't expect me to be in first shipment, I'm not fussed bout that as it will leave time for everyone else to test it out in oz and see if it is really the ducs guts..

i was talking to my dealer yesterday. he knows ducati for a long time and to be not to far away from italy might be another advatage for his information channel. asking him for my 1199s delivery he told me that australia is first to serve. everthing in production is in time and as i should receive mine, orderd 4 days after milano trade, in late march i am shure that first run to australia is on its way in two weeks from now.

Yeah I agree.....maybe they/ he are just waiting to do the road test before really giving their full tick of approval.
I personally have no doubt it will be the ducs guts, thats why I ordered one and Ducati and Troy have been to excited over this model not to be.
Thanks Karrl...That pretty much confirms a April delivery date for customers.
