Desmosedici stripes on the 1199?

I think this would look cool. Simple white stripes to mimic the Desmosedici. I taped copier paper on the 1199 this morning to create the affect. Of course it's all about what I like.
I'll see if I like the mock up pic after a few days then find someone who specializes in creating vinyl stripes. Just having fun.

Maybe let the striping run through over the section under the tank ?
If my memory serves me right, there's already a Desmo-scheme Panigale out there ?

Thanks. I haven't found a pic of the Desmo-scheme Panigale but will keep looking. Pic of the original attached for comparison.

I think it looks great, dare I say even making the lines of the desmo look a little dated :eek:

Go for it, so easy to remove, there is no downside.

I would have a go, if my bike wasn't already tri'ed up :p
 
That is a good look. Seems like I've seen someone on here do something similar. Might be in the pictures thread.

The Full Termignoni exhaust was dismantled by my dealer in NH, then shipped to Jet-Hot in North Carolina. Jeff Howell is the Sales Rep at Jet-Hot. FYI, I believe they just came out with a white high-temp coating. That would look cool too. I'd like to see that.
 
Smart approach to do a mock-up. I think it looks really good. Generally, I really like how the modifications on this bike are evolving, they ooze style and taste.

Another member will soon be releasing pics of his totally new custom paint job here which I must add is unreal. If you need someone highly qualified to do something like this to your bike (whether decal work or actual paint) send me a PM and I will connect you with the man who did this work, and specializes in Ducati's. If you want him to use the copy paper Im sure he can even come up with a way for that too! :D
 
The effect looks good, I like simple white stripes on Red bikes with no lettering of any kind. I would consider painting my bike something like that.

I assure you that he can do anything whatsoever and come up with a kick ... concept! I've been friends w him for 20 yrs and he's won hundreds of awards all over. Done 4 paint jobs alone for me and they were flawless. He's working on banner advertising here and all other Ducati sites, but he's a one man show with serious attention to detail. Will send info when I get to pc. Doing it from cell is challenging. Lol

I emailed the member and asked him to put something up. I think he is picking it up Monday but not sure. I am sure he will be putting up a bunch of pics of the entire job though. If you want the info on the painter here it is. Like I said, Ive known him a VERY long time and he doesn't do BS cheap jobs at all. If you just want a simple set of track skins done you have to seriously convince him as he likes being creative and doing it right. No decals cleared over, all hand airbrushed. My bikes here dont have ONE sticker or decal on them at all. He is not cheap, but is in no way astronomical where you think he's painting a Van Gogh. Anyone wishing to call or email him be sure to mention I sent you since he will soon be starting some member discounts soon! His name is Sean.
