Does anyone wear full leathers on street

Used to wear the top of a 2 piece with armored jeans but switched to full leathers for both safety and comfort reasons. Knees and hips move more freely in leathers and are much less tired after a good day's worth of riding.

I ride full leathers, boots and gloves all the time. Anything else like normal jeans you'll be picking road grime and stones out of your skin for months.. Trust me I know.. Full suit for me always n forever

What happened? You tossed your Duc over the side? LOL.

Guys (and maybe gals?):

What's the deal with the 1 piece for the track? I wear the 2 piece zipped together for ease of getting on and off. I tried one piecers on but it was very difficult to get on and especially off. Perhaps I have to look at custom sizes.

Better protection....one less connection (zipper holding jacket and pants together) that can come apart in a crash. I usually do not get out of my suit during sessions expect for the lunch break. I wear an undersuit which makes getting in and out my leathers fairly easy...

Just not the STD when it comes to maximum crash protection. Single piece leathers are the pinnacle. Look at some of the crashes in Road Racing for example Aleix Espargaro got hit by Danilo Petrucci in Italy, there was a hole in his leathers on his upper right thigh" this could have easily been closer to the front and higher up given a different altercation. Most 2 piece suits zip across the rear and leave the front separate.

I figure you should always wear all the gear all the time. The benefit of this is if you go down, you are more apt to walk away.

If you have family, children, a spouse, significant other that you care about, or a future worth living for without being wheelchair confined, you have a responsibility to be a responsible rider.

I typically wear a two piece which includes leather pants which zip into the Ducati jacket with full armor (chest and back included), full helmet, street riding boots, and gloves. I think I look good and I get many compliments from the ladies when I stop for a beer. As you all know, people normally oogle the Panigale.

I only casually ride the streets for enjoyment, never to go to work in, and rarely for a quick errand. I get my speed fix on track days, and convert my OEM fairings to Armor Body for about a month or so.

I shared all this so that you may reflect on my words and make the best decision that bodes well for you, your family, and future. "All the gear, All the time". Spend the money and make the gear look awesome!!!

One Aussie lady I met thought I was gay because I was wearing my suit, she said in Oz they would take the piss out of me and call me a queer, I do sort of feel like the village people when I get off the bike but I do feel safer and more comfortable with it on, my legs in just jeans feels a bit bear, I never use to wear the full kit and sometimes around town I wear a tee shirt and I am dick because of that cause one day I will pay the price. before anyone starts to jump on me I am not gay, anti-gay or anything else just sharing a story!

Not wearing safety gear on the bike "because you're careful" is a bit like not wearing your seatbelt in you car because you think you can put it on when you see an oncoming car IMHO.. I wear my 2 piece RST TracTech Evo where ever I drive..

I have never worn leathers on the street. But I don't ride hard or even "spirited" on the street.

With that being said, EVERY time I ride I wear an Alpinestars jacket with "aftermarket" chest and back protectors, Cortech or similar riding jeans with Kevlar lining and knee armor, Knox Gloves and Alpinestars boots.

Even if I am just going 5min to the gym, I wear that ^.

If I'm not riding into work, I always wear it. I actually prefer it because it's quite comfy, there's no lose clothing flapping around and it keeps my nuts tucked up when I go over a bumpy section. Saved my ass big time in a 100 mph+ wreck where I slid for 275 on the road and another 115 feet off road! No skin lost! Dainese for life now, obviously.
