Update:
Sooooo, after having to wait about 3 1/2 weeks for my 1st service appointment and having only ridden the bike once within that time frame (8 mile to/from work), I finally took the bike in for its first service yesterday. For the last 2-3 months, the exhaust tone would change on and off from the deep rumble sound the Pani's typically have and a flat/tinny sound. Hadn't noticed any power loss but then again I've never been really on the throttle like that to begin with since I'm in the break-in period. As I've mentioned before, I have a lower right fairing as well as a rear mudguard melting issue which I have been holding off until my first service since my choice of dealer is about 25 miles from my house.
Once I arrive at the dealer and explain some of my concerns (exhaust tone, stalling/tps adjustment, melting) they begin the first service process as well as inspecting some of my concerns. While I wait for any kind of update, the tech comes out and asks me if I've made any changes or tampered with the exhaust in any way. I tell him that I've only made cosmetic changes and nothing else, especially not the exhaust. Same as the day I got it. Well, the problem I have been experiencing with the exhaust tone has been due to a broken exhaust valve motor which prevents the flapper valve from opening and closing. Basically it gets stuck, which is also causing extra unnecessary heat as if the bike wasn't hot enough already. This was very concerning to me because it could have been much worse damage than I was able to see so I'm glad I didn't ride it at all the last 3+ weeks.
I wasn't expecting to be without my bike but because of the unexpected issues, I had no choice but to leave the bike overnight while they figured out the problem. Because of this, they provided me with a loaner Panigale (in the wrong color/red) and off I went back to the house. So they will be replacing the exhaust valve motor, center pipe to the exhaust, lower right fairing and rear mudguard all under warranty. Downside is now I have to wait a week or two until it is ready. The loaner bike was just for the day so I had a way to get home but it was picked up early this morning by one of their guys before he headed in to work. Hopefully he can drop off my bike on his way home after work when my bike is actually done.
This sucks!
